  • Oh Calley, that's not good, people should at least have the courtesy to say if they can't make it :(

I've got the chimp paradox on my kindle after my cousin recommended it to me, but haven't got around to reading it yet (to my huge embrassment as I bought it a couple of years ago).

Have just agreed to buy a second hand computer, so will be meeting the vendor at a motorway service station near Birmingham on Saturday morning, at nearly 5 stone it being too big and heavy to post (and neither of us being content to entrust it to a pallet delivery). So, nice drive up the M5 to start my weekend. :p

Just watching on the news about the mental health report about the appalling shortages in MH provision.

On the day that in my county there aren't any empty female acute beds in any of the MH hospitals.

Wonder if it'll make any difference at all.

The last time I did Ono's journey (in reverse) I ended up with a Gitdog. Short end of the straw comes to mind.

    She loves it
I made some with paprika on (seems to be something I can eat, don't shout that's it for today I am aware this is not enough calories)
Didn't think she'd like it as it was homemade, wrong, she sits patiently staring until you put some in her mouth which she nicely chomps then waits again.
  • I didn't get a ticket in the end, got distracted, forgot and suddenly realised it was this week when I saw it was on the telly this evening. Can't really arrange it now unfortunately, too much on. My fault - same thing happened last year as well, was on top of me before I realised. I enjoyed it the one year I did manage to go when it was still in Newport.

The computer I'm buying is what's known as a "workstation PC", they are sturdily built compared to normal desktop / mini tower computers and so are heavy. First time I picked one up I got quite a surprise as I didn't realise!
