I am picturing the support worker hovering over the ground.

This weigh in isn't going to go well - just launched a full scale attack on the chocolate because, totm. How small are cadburys caramel bars now?!

    Phew, training finished early.

I was doing really well with food and exercise until Sunday, then the last two days have fallen off the wagon in style. Am expecting an increase at tomorrow's weigh in!
  • I don't do the weigh in because my scales are not very reliable, or my weight fluctuates by pounds day to day, and I have a pretty good idea if I'm too round by the number of holes in my belt I can do up (too few at the moment :( )

You could still do some kind of healthy goal. Or post a 'hole' number.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • Sorry, I forgot to weigh myself this morning after my fast day. I promise I fasted though! :D

    Why the foreboding, Code?

Georgie, the lack of puff is just technique.
The holes thing is just practice.
However, it's always better to have a teacher rather than teach yourself.........I should know, the arch-procrastinator!

You could put in on your bucket list!

Was the saxophone a particular bargain when you got it, or did you pay the going rate? If it was a bargain, perhaps you'd be better off keeping it, for when you decide to start again! :D

If you paid the going rate, how much would you lose by selling it now? If a lot, then again, you'd be better off keeping it!

But then you see, I'm biased. Books and musical stuff/instruments I never get rid of! And do you know, you do go back to it!
I bought a treble recorder in 1975, taught myself for a while, then it got cupboarded. Then eight years ago, I had a few lessons with a beginners group, but had to stop due to illness/work. However, I know I will pick it up again at some point! So I've had it 40years!
I'd like to learn the tenor recorder too. Beautiful sound it makes.

  • It was a Christmas present off D many years ago. He got it for a good price, its a fairly decent one, but wasn't too expensive. I think I'd mentioned it once, and he picked up on it and so bought me one.

Whilst I love the sound and admire those who can play it, I think really, it was just a passing fancy.

I used to play either the tenor or treble recorder too. I can't remember which one it was now, it was a long time ago.
