Morning Shipmates,
Tea please be kind to yourself none of this was your making. When he finally realised what he wanted it was way to late and now you have grown in every way. And are stronger. The police are like dr's and nurses seen it all before.
My lodger has well peed me off. He always seems to have the water running a long time when having a shower 1st thing in the morning. he has short hair. Unless washing my hair I jump in and out. Asked him by text this morning why he is so long in the shower. I shave in the shower!!! I said what. Thats what a basin is for. Even I don't shave in the shower. He seems to forget that I am on a water meter. And told me before he moved not to worry he has a shower at work he can use. Then said oh no its manky. Time to make him pull his weight!!!!
He has total lack of understanding of running a household and bills. No wonder him and his wife own thousands of pounds. No concept of money management at all.Think we all need a blue monday group hug in the fort - healthy snacks on standby!
Sod that I just had 5 chocolate chip cookies with a coffee a min ago LOL!!!!
Right need to put my face on.
Catch you all later.

Gosh, I don't feel blue enough for Blue Monday! I am a little woeful as we don't get paid until Wednesday and we're skint until then but my brother is taking us out for dinner tonight so that makes me happy! Swings and roundabouts!
Was very MSE this weekend as we switched our mortgage to a lower rate and it's saving us £50 a month, we also switched gas and electric which claims to be a £185 saving a year as well as switching our CC to a 0% so we're saving the monthly interest rate... so lots of savings all over! DH and I are both pretty useless as doing stuff like this as it requires effort and speaking to people but we just got it done so feel great now. I spoke to a (very nice, thankfully) lady in a call centre for about 3 hours on and off on Saturday! For someone who hates phones and speaking about my finances (just, ick) that's a pretty big deal! :T
Tea, I'm so disappointed that FOH just won't let go and doesn't see that what's he's doing is wrong! I really think it does go to CPS to make him see sense and leave you alone! What are you going to do about Mr HL?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Calley - that is so annoying about your lodger! Can you turn the water off at the main point (????) once he exceeds a sensible showering time?! He'll soon change his ways!
ETA: Or convince him that beards are fashionable and he should grow one! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Was considering homeland, mainly cos i figure it could be similar to 24 but also cos one of the main characters has bipolar and that could be interesting to see how they address it (plus i like the fact of a secret agent having bipolar but still doing their job, makes me feel like i can do anything)
MU,
What about daredevil if you liked jessica jones? If you like sci fi then firefly with the bloke from castle in Yum LOL!!!. If you want funny then Brooklyn 99 its about cops but its about there relationships and how they interact with each other so no real police work type stuff.
Any way I have date with some washing in the machine and my makeup box LOL!!!

Ooh calley I would be getting cross with him! Think it's time for a proper sit down and some clear house rules.
Well done on all the MSE activity birdie - very satisfying when you get it sorted isn't it?! I need to speak to Scottish power but that is so far down the list of things that might actually happen :rotfl:
Fly - thinking of youhope the new job is going ok and that the travel wasn't as bad as you were expecting, and hope you hear back from the other potential job soon.
Melly - good luck with today's interview.
Ono - any foodstuffs always gratefully received in the fort
Welly - hope your small tigger is suitably bouncy
Re Mr HL, I did reply (after a good few hours lol). He then replied pretty much straightaway and I've left it for now. Am not that bothered either way now fortunately. Am happy to chat with him but if he goes quiet again I won't be losing sleep over it. It's just a bit of a distraction from the rubbishness of work and stalking.0 -
Tea
I am so sorry, you gave him lots of chances to do the right thing and he failed spectacularly. (some of that goes for HL as well)
DDs and SIL came round yesterday for lunch and have cleared up a lot of the garage for me and put a few things on g**t*ee that won;t fit in the new house. DD even looked at the floorplan and worked out where furniture might fit!!! Another DD has snaffled a pair of floor length curtains for her new house and has her eye on another pair to take next week
Looks as if I might be moved in a month or less  I am just glad I don't feel as down and useless as I did a few months ago. I still feel a bit daunted but family are really supportive. Feel like a creature being winkled out of its shell but know I am doing the sensible thing which will let me feel I am in a proper bungalow downstairs yet the upstairs chalet part means dds can still stay over whenever they want also also other relations. The council tax and bills should be less as well.

I really can't recommend that programme (or Nathan Fillion) highly enough. It's funny that you refer to him as from Castle though, I saw a jumper advertised on facebook a while back which said "He was my Captain before he was your Castle" and it took a lot of stern words with myself to convince me that I really didn't need it.
Tea - sorry that FOH seems to be incapable of seeing sense. Hopefully something will get through to him before it reaches the stage of having to go to court.
Melly & Fly - good luck with all job related stuff.
Birdie - well done for the money saving!! I always mean to do stuff like that and then put it off until I can convince myself that it wouldn't be a worthwhile enough saving to bother with the hassle.
Ono - did they end up being more like cherry brownies (well, I guess blondies if they weren't chocolate) rather than muffins?
WaS - I'm glad you managed to make your bed sleepable. You can get all different sized Eeyores so I'm sure you could sneak a small one past WaSp.
I've got one on my hanging over the corner of my screen at work, he's wearing a party hat and streamers and looking very cheerful for Eeyore
Anyone I've missed, sorry, I lose track of a lot of posts when I'm playing post-weekend catch up xx0 -

LOL!!!! I saw him first in castle. And knew that a lot of people have only probably seen him in that.
Mind you its got too silly now that they have got together that was the whole point I thought of the show that they have a love hate relationship and you know deep down they want to do each other :rotfl:
I had never seen firefly and enjoyed that and the film serenity. Shame there was only ever one season.

After much shuffling around this morning, my piles are no longer quite so painful. That is piles of paperwork! I am beginning to be able to see the table. DH has been doing some tidying so the house has space too.
I am drinking a lot of water but still feeling extremely dehydrated.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I actually first saw him in Buffy (he was Caleb, the evil preacher, in season 7) and have liked him ever since then. Captain Mal is definitely the first thing that springs to mind if anyone mentions him though.
If you like Joss Whedon stuff and haven't seen it yet, Dr Horrible's sing-along-blog is great too. It's just a short thing that they released online during the writers' strike but I love it.
I didn't have a problem with them getting together, probably partly cos it was always quite silly to start with, and was just glad that they handled it a lot better than Bones did. I'm not sure if you're up to date with Castle so I'll penguin the next bit in case it's a spoiler After the double episode opener for the latest season, it has annoyed me that they're trying to throw in conflict and keep them apart. One of the things I thought was great about the way they got them together was that they were happy for them to be a team rather than throwing obstacles at them all the time /penguin.0
