I don't understand that. How can those baby carrots be sculpted when they've still got the tapered root string and all the surface blemishes?

I was thinking exactly the same thing but I presume they mean the packs of 'baby' carrots which are ready to eat lumps of carrot rather than something like Chantenay carrots, which are grown small (well, I guess they are seeing as they've still got stalks attached.)

"lush"? That'll be the Bristolians then, especially if it's "gert lush". :D

I spent yesterday evening completely failing to write a profile on pof, even missed the snooker. One of my friends told me years ago that "you have to sell yourself". I couldn't sell water to a thirsty person in a desert, so that's not going to go well :o

I'll have another go at the weekend.

There's not a man on earth I'd miss the snooker for!

The day has started well with plenty of giggles as littlewing was getting dressed, a gossip on the bus, a nip in to M and S to book an appt for a sports bra fitting (great minds think alike, MU).

I bought some black 'thing' that promises to squish my flab into control but the shop assistant was a bit dubious that it would work. She thought an all in one would be better. I have always found they drag my boobs down - sorry ono to destroy the magic of womankind for you - so I am not having that. Would be lovely to have a body that didn't explode when all the clothes come off, but it is going to take some time. I am so glad I am not dating.

Had a voucher for £5 off over a certain spend so I had a flash of inspiration and bought some beautiful cake tins for mother's day, which I will fill with home baked goodies. If I don't keep the tins for myself.

I am at work now so had better be productive.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

WaS - Alan Rickman is not your fault.

  • Absolutely, code.

Between him and Bowie I am heartbroken. 2016 can get in the bin so far

I'm so gutted, I went out at lunch to play badminton and just overheard someone talking about it on my way back into the office! So I'm now knackered, starving (5:2 fast day!) and sad! :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Not Alan Rickman too :(

My poor mum's going to be utterly distraught. Bowie's been her hero for over 40 years and she's adored Alan Rickman since Truly Madly Deeply.

I've been meaning to watch Snow Cake again for a while so I'll have to bump it up my list.

Just seen this and it made me smile.

Have linked as it may be an existential penguin for some.
