Not only did I ring and leave my details, I've arranged a house viewing on Thursday.

There's one street in a small town, not very far away and I've got an alert for that postcode.

One has come up and I'm going to see it.

I've suddenly come over very brave.....:o

Tea - that is fantastic!! Well, I'm sure it wasn't at the time but it gave me a very good laugh.

Melly - it obviously wasn't meant to be and I'm sure the next interviews will go much better.

HBS - fantastic news and good luck.

They are Birdie -you get one full sized product per box and 4 or 5 samples which tend to be a decent size.
It's like Christmas every month, most of them are stuff I will use.

    That looks interesting, Gingernutty!

My problem would be memory, remembering the gags and the punch lines! :( Or not!

I wish I could run, Oakdene! I look like an emu in stilettos when I try. Could you do something to take your mind off things a little? Get in touch with an old friend, print out some running routes etc?

MU, one of my problems is my temper which particularly flares up when I'm tired so I can understand how the situation may have played out. Rest assured that if his mum is anything like me she will have regretted it the minute she opened her mouth, and won't have even considered it being your fault. Maybe try and go back round there when you are feeling strong enough, sooner rather than later to avoid it becoming something you have to keep avoiding? She will likely want to apologise to you, or be too embarrassed to mention it.

I'm nearly finished my flask of coffee already. Not good.

    Good luck Melly!
Go for it Ginger, you have nothing to lose
After having some time to think about it and calm down myself I can see that it was just one of those things, and as much as I blame myself it wasn't my fault.

I'm going back round today, haven't cried at all today which is a vast improvement on yesterday :o

  • Go ginger! I've never heard of her, but the course sounds interesting and I think it's an incredibly brave thing to do!

    :T

I'm glad you can see that it wasn't your fault but please don't blame yourself. As someone who can be ratty at the best of times, and turns into a complete monster when sleep deprived, I'd hate anyone to think that the blame for any of my outbursts lies anywhere other than with me.

Ginger - I'm not sure which thing I think is braver but well done and good luck with both.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I do have an appt with my GP on Friday, whether I will be able to verbalise how I'm feeling though.
I do have one very good friend who I am able to discuss my feelings with, she sadly lives on the mainland, but we skype/chat on phone, she is actually representing me tomorrow, for which I am so grateful.
I feel quite isolated I suppose, I have to provide quite a large amount of care for my son which keeps me busy, but I don't really know anyone here, I see the kids taxi driver every morning/evening & my husband when he's home on his rotation (currently offshore for another 2 weeks), the occasional delivery driver & that's about it.
    Thanks again
