Hi, MessedUp! So pleased you had a lovely Christmas and New Year! You deserve it! :)

Tea. It's intriguing how someone who repeatedly cheated on you from Day 1, who, throughout all the months you were preparing to split up and changing the mortgage etc., all he did was ignore you, it's strange how that person is suddenly, suddenly professing undying love.

All those months you were sorting out the mortgage, him finding a new place etc., and all he did was ignore you.
Even after he left, it was only when he saw you on PoF that all this blew up. He feels he's lost a conquest. He probably wants to punish you by making you think you've made a mistake.

The Stalking person can probably give you more insight into this, so do contact them.

By the way, has his stuff gone from your garage yet?

Tea, you are so much better off without this loser! What a typically EA man, to treat you so badly and yet you stayed with him because he'd messed with your head so much. The cheating dreams reminds me of a story my friend told me about her ex; she does Oracle cards from time to time (like a nicer version of Tarot apparently?), just for fun. One night when he was out she read her cards and they told her about an end of a relationship which she assumed meant that a friendship that had been fizzling out for a while was going to end and she mentioned it in conversation with her BF and he broke down and admitted to cheating on her and they broke up pretty much there and then! Funny how the subconscious tells us what we might not want to hear...

Oh and I think you're perfectly within your rights now to throw all of his stuff out on the curb. Text his Mum that it's there with a 'Free to whoever can carry it' sign so that you can't get in trouble for not letting anyone know and go out. Preferably do this when it's tipping it down.

Great to see you MU, glad you had a good Christmas and New Year and that work's been OK.

Lovely kitty Georgie! I'd like a cat but DH isn't mad.... :(

That beautiful, beautiful cat did the trick - have definitely calmed down :)
  • Oh tea, have a big hug, sounds like you need it!

    Hello MU! *waves*

So I only went and got a gold medal in my gymnastics competition last night! It was tied between two of us - my friend was better on vault and I was better on floor - but I am so proud of us both! (And very sore today.)

Wow, well done!!! Are you off out with your medal today?? I'd be wearing it round the shops, to work, to bed :D
  • I was so tempted to bring it to work and sit and look at it :)

I'm lucky to have it really - my friend's floor was so artistically spot on but she has recurring injuries so has to be careful with impact, plus I messed up a tumble!

I think I only scraped it on technical difficulty because I threw everything I could do in mine and a bit more - hurt myself? Maybe - but that's normal!

The judge did like my "delightfully overblown" floor music though.

D was never really a cat person tbh. Then we got our first cat (RIP C cat) and then he fell in love! He is such a softy now with monkey cat, plays with him and talks to him all the time. Maybe try and talk DH round by saying it'll be beneficial to get baby bird a pet....and hope it doesn't backfire and you're left with a hamster to clean out or something! Though they are very cute too! :)

I'm such a proud fur mama with all your lovely kind words about my boy! :D

He'll be in the corner in the fort in his bed if anyone wants a stroke or a cuddle. #dreamieswelcome

Well done on the medal HBS! Love the music :)

Glad you had a lovely Christmas and New Year MU! :)

DH grew up with cats and dogs so knows what they're like etc, he just prefers dogs but we can't have a dog in our flat, plus I've never had a pet bigger than a hamster and I'm not a massive dog person. In-laws have a dog the same age as Baby Bird and he adores her (and she loves him too, although I'm sure she'd rather he didn't pull her ears! ) so my argument is that he has his puppy fix at Nana's house so he should have a kitty fix at home, but DH isn't going for it. Maybe when we move I'll just sneak one in when he's at work and act all surprised that we got adopted by a 'random cat'! :p

I would LOVE a Leonberger but first I need the house to go with it!
