Ah but he only texted me on Saturday (and Friday) in response to me texting him first. Whereas for the week and a half before that he'd been contacting me first everyday. From which I have obviously concluded that it's just a pity-text and not meant to be.

Aaaaargh! Just TEXT HIM woman! :rotfl:
If he doesn't text back within 12hours, drop it.

Is Mr. HotLips Danish? Half-Danish? 'Cos I've just been reading an article on dating Danish men and here's an extract....

"So, the Danish male approach is largely passive. They wait to see if the woman is interested. I get a lot of mail from non-Danish women trying to figure out if the Danish man they're dating is interested in them. ''He's really happy when I call him, but he never calls me''."

Even if he's not part-Danish, there's a lot of Viking blood in these 'ere English veins, especially if he comes from Eastern or Northern Britain!

The poor guy! Sitting there, wondering, then worrying in case she was ill, and perhaps asking a waitress to go and check the loo, and then the dawning realisation................

    Poor guy. :(

That just goes to show what a lovely person you are Pyx, and what an evil streak I have sometimes! I laughed when she told me, but in my defence, so did D and it's his brother! We know what he's like though, pompous, loves talking about himself and thinks he knows it all. It worked out ok in the end though because he found his now wife, who has the same qualities as him! :p

It isn't something I could do to someone though. I think if a date wasn't going well, I'd get a friend to phone me with an "emergency" and then I could leave straight away.
  • Tea, text him, ask him for a coffee/tea/drink and then if he doesn't reply then you've got your answer. It's got to be better than not knowing where you stand.

The great clear out continues with 20 DVDs going. (Guess I ought to check music magpie before I give them away)
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • I went to Copenhagen about three years ago with a group of friends, it's a really nice city, though we spent most of the time in cafes and bars so didn't do much touristy stuff :o . There were vague plans to do it again in a couple of months but it seems less likely now, since the person whose birthday it would have been for and who was planning it probably won't be able to make it.

Pyxis I have to ask - why were you reading an article on dating Danish men?? That is very specific! :D

Or amazon. Although I don't think they give you that much at all for them.

Do you feel better for having a big sort out? It always makes me feel better, lighter somehow, more organised.
