  • Finally went to see Star Wars on the way home from work, it's awesome! :D

They helpfully put in a load of references to the first film for geeks like me to enjoy. I want to see it again now :o

  • This is a special recipe for Lucee (WaS's inner child) but anyone can make it, honest! It's especially good for using up inferior chocolate if anyone has given you any cheap stuff for Christmas, or in the VERY unlikely event (it has been known in this house) that chocolate gets put into a cupboard and forgotten, and gets that white bloom.

    CHOCOLATE TRIFLE

Put some stuff in the bottom of a bowl. Choose one or more of the following:

A chocolate swiss roll cut into slices
    Choc chip biscuits
    Ginger nuts
broken up bits of muffin and/or madeira cake

If you are decadent and a bit older than Lucee (sorry Lucee!) you can swodge a bit of sherry, or Baileys substitute, over the cakey bit.

Make a jelly (cherry probably best) and pour over the cakey bit. Leave to set.

Now for the magic! Make some cheap custard (from Birds custard powder or own brand) and dissolve in this your cheap, nasty chocolate. Or your cheap nice chocolate. It really is an excellent way of using up old chocolate though! You can even use old chocolate mints (yes, I had a packet that went white once). And there you are! Chocolate custard!

Put the custard on the jelly, leave to cool again. Sludge some whipped cream on top, then top off with grated chocolate or sprinkles :D
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Got the decorations down today which makes the room look empty.

Our washer/dryer has had enough so we are looking for a new one!

I enjoyed War and Peace although confused somewhat by all the characters and hope that will resolve.

Glad that I am too old to have experienced internet dating, the idea of having to put myself on-line to find a possible spouse fills me with dread.

    the trifle sounds delicious
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Had mine over 16 years, and I keep thinking it's got to chew up its bearings soon, but it keeps on going.
