I am the same just couldn't get into the book at all. Hoping that watching on TV will inspire me.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Bearing in mind upstairs have driven their car at me why would you think he would see me leave with Froo and then sit in his car with it running whilst I am out?

He isn't a taxi driver or anything like that is he Melly? Only reason I ask is because my Mam's neighbours boyfriend is, and he sits outside her house with the engine running.
Could be he's sitting in there to get away from the wife and kids and needs to keep the engine on to keep warm.
Could be for the reason you are thinking, to intimidate you.
Was he just in it whilst you were out and then went in when you got back?0
