I'm with you all too on benefit forms.. I only have to see that brown envelope on the doormat to have a panic attack .. wAS.. I echo the others.. work is not how we should define our sense of worth .. you are very wise when it comes to mental health, and you have helped me so much since my public MSE meltdown, I have felt so accepted and you always have an insightful take on things. I don't think programmes on channel 5 about benefit cheats or the current government stance to make people on benefits to all look like the 'undeserving'. I feel useless a lot, due to disability and mental illness, so I can relate, but this safe sub forum hideout on MSE is a testament to your generosity of heart to support all of us without judgement.. you're a star.. don't ever forget what a lighthouse you are.. you shine light into our spirits.. I am truly greatful for providing such a safe blthole for us all :)
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

well let me join in on that rocking club of party animals for Saturday nights as I have been staring at my computer screen all night and all day attempting to study and have achieved diddly squat except to say that the crown estate does a groovy little interactive map of the offshore wind farms of the uk and you can see how much energy they are generating right now......currently around 7.5% of the UK's electricity is being generated by those little rotating gems...............groovy......................I know.........I must get a life!

Deffo tell the police Tea. Especially with the new law just come in about mental abuse. Its been on the news enough that he must have seen it and yet it hasn't deterred him which suggests he needs some help, which he may end up getting if the police are aware of the full picture.

We are up a hill too so avoiding floods. We do suffer when it snows though.

I've got to admit, before joining this thread, I had no idea what people who depend on benefits had to go through, and the fear that they experienced when it was time for it to be renewed.

Like a lot of people, I just read and heard what was in the news about benefit scroungers and was angry about people getting benefits when they weren't entitled to. It still annoys the hell out of me that people get benefits that they aren't entitled too, or put on an illness to claim, because let's face it, that does happen. The benefits system should be there for people in genuine need, a safety net for the vulnerable people in our society, or those that have fallen on hard times.

After joining this thread and seeing what people in genuine need have to go through, it makes me even more angry that these fake claimants get away with it, and in the process, make it even harder for genuine claimants like people on this thread.

That reminds me, I need to change my ringtone from the Scrooge song in MCC. I can't quite believe Christmas is over already.
