Thanks guys. I realise it's annoying that I keep going round in circles on this. I've lost a lot of confidence since I got TN and the last time I changed jobs it was a disaster and led to 6 months of unemployment.

    Moo - yep!
Thanks WW - will probably PM it over on Sunday.

Code - Is the job you have now a good one? i.e. is it reasonable salary, reasonable commute, reasonable people and other than sometimes being a little bored, does the job of paying the bills and keeping you occupied, everyone is nice and no one is mean?

and it's not annoying at all - I am right behind you in the circles thing - I think we have our own little worn out circle of carpet in the fort where we all go over things until we get it sorted in our head. You keep going until it is clear in your head.............or until there is a slightly less murky grey mist hanging over one option. xx

Code think about coming home from work at the end of the day. Gut feeling, which job are you going to come home from feeling relaxed and happy and ready to spend quality 'not at work' time? You work to enable yourself to have decent home life. Which job helps you achieve that?

Groan! Woke up at 2am with a chesty cold that's been threatening for the last three days. Couldn't get back to sleep, so already feel like I've been awake a whole day. Will stay in bed today. :(

Torry, I felt the same when I reached the age my Dad died at. It seems several people here did, and, guess what? we're all still alive! :D:D:D

    Georgie! :eek::eek::eek:
I guess that means you were a twinkle when the the Ring films came out? Must google the year.......it doesn't seem all that long ago!............

Phew! The first one came out in 2001 so you weren't a twinkle and I'm ok! I guess Legolas wasn't a very major figure......I remember him due to the fact that he's an elf, (me likee elves!), and the hair!

Code, no worries about the astrology thing........whilst
I don't believe in it, it can help to focus the mind. For example, on reading that prediction, did you get a frisson of joy about it possibly pointing to the new job, or a frisson of anxiety or disappointment? Whichever it was will help you decide!

And please don't worry about going over it on here......it's an important decision and you're struggling with it, so anything we can do to help you clarify your thoughts, the better.
I know you have found your current job very boring at times, but you say there are some interesting tasks coming up within it? If you do get the other job offered to you, you would need to get them to tell you how they could accommodate you with the TN. Also, could you discuss any job offer with your current boss, to maybe get a bit of an increase in salary or at least a guarantee of no more boredom!

Another one here willing to look at emails, Fly! xxx

New Year squishes are waiting in the fort........:D
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Lol Pyxis! I've seen Orlando Blooms character before, just had no idea what he was called, or indeed many of the character names. LOTR, HP and the like are not really my sort of films. D will have had it on in the background no doubt, but I won't have been paying attention! :D

Code, don't apologise, it's a big decision to make. Talk about it here as much as you want, that's what we're here for. :) I know what I think from reading what you've put, but obviously I'm not in your shoes, and you know what's going to be best for you....or at least you probably will once you find out whether you've got the job or not.

If you left and absolutely didn't like it for whatever reason, is there any scope for perhaps returning to your old job. If you stay put, do new jobs in your field come up quite regular? Therefore another job might come up for you to apply for which would be better for you than both the ones in the picture at the moment.

    Thanks JM!

Pyx - big ~flysquish~ for you
  • I said I don't make NY resolutions, but after seeing more photos of me from the dip the other day, I'm gonna have to take charge and do something, because I'm looking podgy and I don't like it :(

Ive been reading about Joe Wicks (Lean in 15) and was about to buy his book, but have just discovered he has free pull outs in the Sun, so will give them a try first. I don't usually buy in to all this diet/exercise guff, but he sounds quite good. We will see....

Hope the poorly people are feeling abit better and are wrapped up nice and and warm. (((Hugs)))
