Well done Georgie! You are braver than I am!
As everyone said Torry, of course you belong here! Not all of the people who post here have mental health problems at all, we welcome anyone who would like some company, please stay.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Trying very hard to stay awake for another hour as someone is bound to let off fireworks after midnight. I may give up the fight soon though, I'm so tired.

Torry don't worry, everyone here is lovely and you can talk about whatever you like!
Tea, maybe he is busy if he had the little ones to look after. Try not to get down about it, maybe have another squiz on pof to see who else is around? Like I have said before, me and hubby didn't actually get on that well on our first couple of dates, so maybe try messaging people who wouldn't usually be your type, you might be surprised.
Been playing board games with hubby all evening while Escapette sleeps. It's been nice but suspect she will be awake later. I've had far too much wine in an attempt to knock myself out.
I've developed a really bad fear and not sure how to combat it. I will penguin it, but it is regarding child abuse so please feel free to skip reading it.
Penguin: I'm terrified of Escapette coming in to contact with !!!!!philes. I've even been worried about her being on her own with other people including close family. I'm dreading her starting nursery and school. I won't post photos of her on social media and am trying to word an email asking other people not to either. There is being careful, but this has gone beyond that and is becoming a problem I think. Will talk to my counsellor about it next week, but wondered if anyone has any advice. End penguin0 -

Once you're in it really isn't that bad, just abit cold afterwards when my running leggings were sticking to me like a wet suit. That presented a challenge getting changed in the car trying to wiggle out of them under a towel!
I like doing stuff like that because it makes me feel fitter, and believe me, after seeing the photos D took, I so need to lose weight!
Sorry you're still suffering with your cold code. Hopefully you'll be able to shake it off soon.
Tea, maybe he's just slobbing out watching trash tv, eating crappy food and feeling so sleepy that he can't be bothered doing much at all (or that might just be me!), hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow and you'll get a New Years text0 -

Happy New Year!
welly I have had similar worries with littlewing. Some of this is hypervigilance. I have found this a useful book, although it is American and very sensationally titled:
(I will pm the book as I can't seem to penguin the link and I don't want to upset anyone)
A lot of my fear was how vulnerable I felt in public with a young child. Now, through the martial arts training and this book and the general 'self defence' info online, I have realised that a lot of my issue is that I felt that people fell into two categories: harm themselves or harm others. In fact, the most enormous category is respect for themselves and others. This means that the risk is low and there are warning signals that every human (who doesn't override their instincts) is able to detect and therefore virtually always evade. Although terrible things can happen to very, very lovely people, the risk is smaller enough not to sap the joy out of life and I do believe that people will help you. If the absolute worse happens to anyone, you can get through it - look at WaS as an example. There are plenty more human angels. This is also why it is important that children are able to have the confidence to say that something scares them or doesn't feel right and be heard. Escapette is a lucky girl because you are concerned about her boundaries. You will do a great job with her. Great idea to speak to your counsellor.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
