Welly, don't get cross with yourself. You're sleep deprived. Getting irritable is normal. As you said before, it's a good thing babies are so cute, because they have an awful lot to answer for at times.

I am very miffed with a large supermarket chain aka Asda. They built a store at the end of my road, and due to concerns about noise etc, only managed to get it through against planning officer recommendations by having 8 am till 10 pm opening hours. Now they've got it built and running, they're trying to change it to 24 hour opening, despite a noise pollution report saying this would create a significant negative impact.
Never thought I'd say it but I'm now starting to regret having bought here - the area is definitely downwardly mobile.

  • Ugh how annoying, elsien! As somewhere who lives on an access road to a motorway with a parade of stores and pubs very close by I totally understand concerns about noise. Are people complaining?

Don't be angry with yourself Welly, everyone would be grumpy and exhausted by this point! I really hope that you have a better night tonight.

    .

I will be.:) And I've exerted myself to contact the local residents association. The problem is there's now such a large transient population in the area that most people don't seem to care as they won't be here long enough, or don't they feel any ties.

I may vanish shortly. I am planning a solitary evening with phone unplugged and the last few episodes of The Bridge. Party animal that I am.

So I'll take the opportunity to wish every one a Happy New Year and for those that have been struggling an improved 2016.

It's New Year's Eve and Mr Hotlips has a young family. Give him a chance, tea. It's hardly good form for him to be flirting if he is with the grandparents etc
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Definitely ww, I'm being irrational and unfair and I hate it. Why can't I just behave normally where men are involved??

Hehe thank you Pyxis, I think it must have worked as it wasn't that cold really! I expected it to be a lot colder than it was. People didn't really hang around in the water for long. Just went in to our waists. We'd hung around ages before hand and then it was over so quickly, but it was fun and quite invigorating!

All in all we raised £450-£500 for the charity, so very pleased with that! :)

Nothing to add to the good advice already offered fly, but hope you sort something out soon :)

Well done for admitting that Melly, that's really brave of you Hun x x

Wishing everyone good health in 2016

Not sure if I really belong here as I just realised this a thread for those with mental health problems, although I get really down and miserable with my ME and have Seasonal Affective Disorder. Sorry for that.
