tea, can't offer any advice on men - I am still amazed that I got married. I have zero idea on dating. Read too many romantic novels as a child and it gave me very unrealistic ideas!

Don't apologise Torry I don't have mental health problems myself, but like you I get down sometimes (especially this last year with losing my Dad), and this thread has been a brilliant place to talk through problems, things that's worrying me and just to have a good crack and a laugh too.

Thanks WW and Melly! Forgot to say that my Uncle won a voucher for being the best dressed! I'm well used to him being in fancy dress, but I've never seen him in drag before! :rotfl:

Tea - maybe he's gone quiet cause he's 'supposed' to be doing something exciting and is worried you'll think he's a loser? We all over-analyse at the start of a new thing.

Torry - everyone is welcome here. It's really a supportive place where you can talk freely about what's bothering you, whether that's crying at a movie or a massive crisis. It has the bonus of teaching about MH issues too which can only be a good thing. Plus everyone is awesome.

Georgie - well done. We have a similar thing here on NYD, but its into a river fed by the North Sea so I've never been brave enough to do it.

In case I don't get to say it later, and as I'm choked with the cold and coughing my lungs up so sitting in my jammies, I may well be sleeping, Happy New Year. May 2016 bring only good things.

Nah code, last night he invited me round this evening so last I heard he was at home with the children. Just weird as he's gone from pretty much constant contact every day to just 2 messages today (has been more like 40 the last few days). Haven't heard a thing since half 1.

Oh well, his loss (she tells herself in a rubbish attempt to believe it). Onwards and upwards and all that!
