Yassas - hello (emphasis at the start otherwise it means for you)
    Neh - Yes
    Ohi - No
    Kalimera - Good morning
    kalispera - Good afternoon
    Kalinikta - Good night
    Parakalo - Please
    Efkarhisto - Thank you
    Malaka - Masturbator

Yassou nafte apparently means "hello sailor." Should the opportunity arise. :D

mellymoo, is this a good or a bad thing?

This post is more of a diary entry than an actual post - it will be of no use to anyone else lol but of great help to me in getting my head around things.

Police appointment this evening went ok (as ok as these things can go!) The officer made it very clear that there was now more than enough to make things more formal and to arrest him. I confess that that tipped me into yet more undignified crying. So for now they've taken him in this evening and made it clear to him to him that his behaviour is unacceptable and needs to stop. He's signed to say that he will. If there's anything else now they'll arrest him.

I felt very listened to, and that they took it all seriously. I also felt that they took into account my concerns for his welfare and that I'd rather keep things informal if at all possible (for his sake).

She went through the list I'd made of everything (and said it was great - I do love a list!) and reassured me that I wasn't overreacting, that it wasn't ok for him to do this and that they would make him stop.

So yay, I win - the most rubbish victory ever. :( Feel like I've lost everything. I can't get my head around how this has gone from 'maybe we'll be friends one day and possibly even sort things out' to now I can never contact him again. He's going to be so upset and at home on his own and I'm so scared about what he's going to do. I can't believe I've done this :(.

The alternative thread motto ' I am not a turtle' is apparently Den eimai chelona. (accent over the first i and the 3rd e)

Although that ia google translate. So it might not be.

Hugs tea. It's not your fault. He forced your hand. You told him to leave you alone, your parents told him to leave you alone, your friend told him to leave you alone, his mum told him to leave you alone and the police told him to leave you alone and be ignored all of them and kept following you. Police really don't like paperwork so wouldn't have advised you to take it forward if they didn't think there was cause for it.

One thing, is there someone who can stay with you tonight in case he reacts badly to the police pickup and come around anyway? I don't want to frighten you but these things can escalate fast.

This is his fault, not yours.

    tea,

you haven't done anything to him. He is making you uncomfortable and scared. He is not your responsibility. He lied to you and cheated on you in your relationship and now he is realising the consequences of those actions. Yes, I feel sad for him but much as we'd love to, we can't fix the world.

What is really good is that you are making it clear to official channels that their is a problem that will be causing him difficulty. The facts are there. Any misplaced 'kindness' on your behalf will untimately prolong the agony.

Come and sob in the quiet of the duvert fort.

The Sound of Music Live was briiliant (and I love the original).
