Apologies for yet another self indulgent post, I really am reading and thinking of the rest of you...sorry I'm being a rubbish threadmate at the moment and making it all about me.

Had appointment with police first thing this morning. They went through a few more details, did the DASH assessment, and tried calling him while I was there. There was no answer (it was early!) so she left a voicemail asking him to call her back and said she'd try to get hold of him during the day. Also said she'd let me know what happened but didn't hear from her again.

He then turned up to the carol service at church this evening. Fortunately I only noticed at the end, or I would have been totally freaked out and to be honest I played terribly anyway! But it did mean that I had to tell my mum what's been happening which I'm v cross about as now she's upset and freaked out. A friend of mine then told me that he also turned up there this morning (I didn't go to the morning sevice today). My friend (who is lovely and who I complelety trust) said he spoke to him and he says he just wants to speak to me. This friend only lives a couple of houses away and I know I could call him (and his wife, also a lovely friend) anytime if I had to.

Obviously a church service is an open public event so there's nothing stopping him going. But in ten years together he never once turned up before.

He didn't make any effort to speak to my mum or me, just glared at us.

So now am home safely and off to call the police again. Marvellous.

    Oh dear, Tea. :(

However, the fact that other people are aware now of what's going on is a good thing.

  • Here you go, ono. My teacher friend said I could quote him. You are correct.

"The second is still 'Standard English', though some listeners (not me) may well now think of it as 'archaic' or 'pedantic'. It's the educated form: using 'be' as a shortened form of 'should be', or what latinate grammarians might describe as the 'imperative' or 'subjunctive' form of the verb when referring to something which has not yet happened."

Big hugs, tea. Do keep notifying the police. Hopefully he will get the message if they speak to him and realise what an idiot he is being.

    WaS,

If I remember correctly, The Sound of Music does not trigger you?
I am going to be watching The sound of Music Live! on ITV at 7.30pm tonight, if anyone would care to join me.

I would, but D refuses to watch it! :p

Hugs (((tea))) Agree with the others, a problem shared and all that. Shame it's going to have your parents worried sick, but it's for the best.
  • Hugs tea, you aren't being self-indulgent, it's obviously a huge worry what he's up to so.

I have been banished to the laptop.

I didn't know for years that it is based on a true story.

I'll have to get it on catch up. Not the same as watching it live I guess, but it'll do :)

    Is it any good?
