Faerie - no need to apologise, I'm just glad you've got a little of the corner of the internets to come and have a rant and feel safe, you need it!
I love Pyxis' advice for the interview/test, made me smile! Hope it's been OK Code!
WaS, I don't feel sorry for you, I don't think anyone should. Like you say, you're the best you've been for a long time and getting on with life quite nicely, so you're awesome!
Glad you're feeling better about the working arrangements MU.
Have you got something 'Potter' themed to wear HBS?!
Many hugs for a tough Christmas Georgie. I think writing a letter and having a special ornament are lovely ideas. It will be hard, but try to think about how full of life your Dad was and how he'd want you to enjoy yourselves.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
WaS what's a floating support worker?
Healthy minds are getting us one to help with the getting us moved0 -
:rotfl:Would someone like to share this concept with Gitdog - little floozie'd go off with anyone who gave him food, fuss or a combination thereof.

Good ideas about writing a letter and a special ornament
I'd like to visit where we scattered his ashes over the holidays sometime if possible but will have to check the weather as even though it is still very mild down here, there can be snow on the fells.
I said something similar to my Mam Birdie about how Dad loved Christmas and how he'd want us to have a good time. Our hearts aren't in it, but we'll try our best though.
It isn't just feeling sad about my Dad though, it's worrying about D's job situation too. He's still in limbo. Other people are finding out what's happening (another of his managers has gone today) but he still hasn't had a phone call yet.
Then there's talking about the best way to spend his redundancy. Is it best to pay the mortgage off straight away or what? I hate all these grown up decisions and not being in control of things....it just makes you want to revert back into being a child when life was easy and you had nothing to worry about.
If anyone wants me, I'll be snuggled up in a corner with my blanket, crisps and jelly babies, with the tv ready for Supervet! Hang on, do we have a tv in the fort?!0 -

Ditto this! You remain so positive and upbeat WaS, you're an inspiration. I wish some of it would rub off on me!
Tea, I'm the same, things like that set me off too. I had a tear in my eye when I saw the Rotary Club Santa & Sleigh and also with the Male Voice Choir. I wish I'd saw them when the grinch joined in with them though!0 -
Grrr. So tired, still not home because the thing I need to have done by the end of the week went horribly wrong and I'm no futher forward. Also got to do that stupid, stupid test when I get home as I have stuff to do tomorrow night and am out on Friday.
I missed the rotary club Santa too.
I know about the job thing Georgie. I got made redundant from my last job a few years ago. I didn't get much of a redundancy payment because I'd only been there for about 5 minutes (it was a total disaster of a job - I started only to discover they decided they didn't want half my job done after all so I had nothing to do). I was panicking about paying my rent as I lived alone but luckily I got my current job (after a whopping 6.5 month recruitment process). Anyway it turned out to be a way better job and D will find a job too. Has he registered with any agencies? Even if he can get short term work or contracting it would help.
I think I'll join you in the fort with the junk food. I just want to flop on the sofa and cry at the supervet.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Get a dog pyxis love my two even if Froo is a fat despot and Boo is a pervert.
Ok
Another day more lies. Homeless at home application denied due to ha spouting easily disproved bull.
I may have broken down again
OH had cbt session today and we are now getting a floating support worker and I need to chase my referral up.
Oh told her everything including that I have relapsed
About to eat bacon and cheese toastie as I can force some of that down0 -
you are all so wonderful
you all have such unique insights.. you're a wise bunch
.. Waves.. 10 years ago, I had a great cpn for 4 and a half years , and I really felt I had made a dent in bp0d stuff, she was very skilled, but I've slipped since then.. I am on the waiting list for the BPD centre so I know that it will help me get back on that road to helping myself, BPD is souch a tough illness to crack.. I guess that's why they call it a personality disorder! I think it's a lifelong of working on it , you have to keep tweaking those skills, and tbh, I have forgotton most of the skills that I used to use!
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0 -

*flumps up a beanbag for code*
He's putting the feelers out for jobs, not sure if he's registered with any agencies yet though.
I went through redundancy 3 years ago. Even though I'd been there many years, the redundancy pay was not that much really, and my pay was no comparison to D's.
I guess it's the not knowing that's bugging us most. I hate not being in control! :mad:0 -
Managed half a toastie.
Now feel sick.
Tea then shower showering is important it's so easy not to at the minute0
