  • Well done, Melly! Give yourself credit for managing that, you overcame the fear. You aren't going loopy, you sound perfectly sane to me. Things are just hard right now, largely because you are just exhausted. Enjoy your tv!

Flying visit. Broadband still poorly, can't get provider to confirm engineer visit so god knows when it will be sorted.
Gitdog has fed himself 12 chocolate mini rolls I thought were out of reach. Plus wrappers. I am not impressed and he will probably be passing purple sparkly bits for days.
Melly, you're having a very understandable reaction to all your recent stresses. Have some more doggy cuddles and try to relax a bit if you can.
Called in to see ER today - a little better but no insight so likely to be in over Christmas at least, which is sad. Leave looks unlikely for a number of reasons. They were pleased to see us though, so will have to make the effort to get there more often.

    Gitdog and froo sound related.

Apparently boo has had enough love now so she's plonked herself on me sighing deeply.

Elsien, I'm a bit worried about Gitdog, as chocolate is poisonous for dogs.

Hopefully the chocolate rolls didn't have that much pure chocolate in them, but times 12...........

Is he ok this morning? Might be worth checking the cocoa solids content of the rolls and maybe checking with the vet over the phone?

Having said that, my dog once scoffed most of a box of after eights and was ok. (She left the wrappers, though!) I did have a word with the vet, but it was so long ago, I can't remember what he said!

Sorry to hear that you've had such a rough weekend Melly :( I hope this week sees better things for you. Have you managed some breakfast?

I'm definitely not giggling at poor Gitdog and purple poo! That'll teach him! My parents' friends used to have a lovely, but very greedy little spaniel and she once ate an entire, half frozen (as it was in the sink defrosting and apparently out of reach) leg of lamb! She couldn't move all day as she was so full and her belly was dragging on the floor! My parents went round for their lunch and were told that they were all going out to the pub instead as the dog had eaten it! :rotfl:

Hope the sleep study stuff is going well WaS. Looking forward to hearing all of the little factoids as you learn them! :)

Going back a few pages/days now but Tea, I've not used Hungry House (we hardly ever get take out) but is there a review section where you can leave your comments about the rubbish food/service? I'd definitely let them know and leave bad reviews all over the place- I often get a bee in my bonnet about things and moan and moan via e-mails and reviews until I feel better! :p

I think Baby Bird is an official loon. Over the weekend he played the Best Game Ever for hours (literally, 2 hours on Saturday, 2 hours on Sunday!) - it consisted of emptying the laundry bin, taking the clothes to the washing machine and loading it, then taking the clothes out 1-2 items out at a time and running over to our French doors (we're in a flat with one big living/kitchen area) and piling the clothes up there, clapping his hands once everything was moved there then taking it back to the washing machine and applauding himself once done. It just went on and on and he was giggling and shouting the whole time! I've never known anyone to get so excited about chores before! :p I hope he never grows out of it! ;)

Ah Little Bird sounds adorable! I have loads of laundry that needs doing - do you hire him out?? :D

I can't get my head around this online dating thing - it feels so wrong to be chatting to more than one person.... even though I'm fully aware that the people I'm speaking to are speaking to other people too.

I am in serious danger of losing my cool at work today. Am looking at some work that was split 50/50 several weeks ago. I've done 95% of my half, the other guy has done nothing (not even started). Now all he's doing is picking faults in the work I've done - am trying to stay calm but I really want to point out that he HASN'T ACTUALLY DONE ANYTHING YET.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with my work being reviewed and I'm open to suggestions on improvements. It's just a bit galling when we're being chased for the final output and he hasn't even started yet.
