Yes Welly! There might come a time when Escapette crawls to you with her empty bottle! :rotfl:

In fact, I can see it now, Little Sod and Escapette, in cahoots, side by side with forlorn expressions and empty bottle in hand and empty dish in mouth! :rotfl:

Aw, Melly big hugs. A little fact that has always helped me with panic attacks. They are a primitive but very natural and healthy response that is built into all of us. Anyone is capable of having them and they saved our ancestors many times. I am sure that you know that they are a fight or flight response, our body floods us with adrenaline to prepare to fight to save our life or run from danger because our body wants us to survive! That changed the way I thought of them from something terrible to realising my body and brain were trying to a good thing and made it much easier to cope with them.

Our silly brains make them happen when we aren't in danger sometimes but the actual response is a very good one! Rather than thinking I am anxious and feel awful, I changed my thinking to aww, my body wants me to live and it is ready to fight for me to keep me safe! I would thank my body out loud and say I want to live, too and thank you for taking care of me! It made them much easier to cope with and they passed much quicker afterwards.

Big hugs for you too, Calley. What a lovely and supportive person you are.

Melly, I have nothing useful to say but just wanted to send a squish and say that I'm thinking of you. Well done on eating something x
  • They're terrifying the first few times, Melly. I used to think I was having a heart attack or had finally gone totally loopy. Can you try to challenge the thought? Think of the times you have gone out in the past and that nothing has gone wrong? I know how bad it is, I was crippled by panic attacks for years. I always cope with things far better if I know exactly what is happening in my brain and body so the solution for me was to find out exactly what process was happening and how to stop it, but that doesn't work for everyone. I think that you are being very brave right now, hang in there it will get better. Have another hug.
