Join me in a big whinge-fest, Calley!
Thank you JM, sleeping in the squish cupboard sounds perfect.
Something good did happen, following the professors recommendations I had very few intrusive thoughts and hallucinations when trying to fall asleep, far less than usual. I am cross with him though for making me feel ill so I am not giving him credit for that yet. I shall be nice about him when I feel better. Ok, I think I am going to live!
Big hugs, MU. Could you maybe get the taxi from Swain's to work? I would do the shift for you if I could!
Well done on the cob, Melly. I hope things are a bit better with OH.
I am about to make a Christmas Cake, slightly late due to the oven problem. The fruit has been soaking in brandy for two weeks, we will probably have one slice and fall over.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Could we maybe temporarily rehouse some squishes into a shoe box for the rest of us whilst WaS and Calley sleep, and hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the cupboard door? I've plenty of old newspapers if you two need them for insulation? I remember from Blue Peter that you insulate hibernating tortoises with newspaper, so I guess it is a similar thing?
MU would you be able to swap shifts with someone if anyone agreed? You might be surprised to find someone may want one of those shifts depending on their plans etc.
I'm covered in glue, been covering boxes in paper for my hampers. Also realised I've used half a litre of brandy when feeding my three Christmas cakes! We can get cakedrunk together WaS!
Off to MILs in a bit with Escapette for a girls craft night whilst the boys go on a stag do.
Bought Escapette her first bauble for the tree today. Wanted a personalised one but none of the name ones had her name.0 -
Don't worry, the squish cupboard is so big (think Narniabut a more tropical version*) that you wouldn't even be able to find the sleeping beauties if you looked for them!
*(except that WaS's bit is wintry without the cold, because she likes winter)

Looks like Bearded One is staying out for the night, so Little Sod has taken up residence on his side of the bed. Will wait until I get asked about the amount of mud in the bed before I admit to anything!0

*Crawls out of the squish cupboard* Morning all!
Wonderful, whitewing! Thank you so much, links have been passed onto WaSp! (and I didn't peek).
Hope Little Sod, Escapette and you had a good night, Welly!
The Christmas cake didn't happen because I was too tired so we shall be making it today. We also need to put decorations up, right now I have bits and pieces up but we haven't reached full Santa's grotto yet! I feel better today and slept well. I have all of WaSp's stocking fillers to wrap, loads of tiny things so that is another job to try today. Don't let me sit on the laptop all day, please.
