Hahahaha loving the pics!
Big hugs to code and tea.
Thank you everyone! I did get my salt and pepper pot and a wooden spoon! Also thank you to whitewing because WaSp bought the little red wooden train with snowglobes from the CardFactory that you linked to, I have snowglobes now! I have lots of socks from Milliefleur but not ordinary socks. These have pom poms, little cuddly toys attached, glitter and ribbon! She also bought me a bottle of Disarano which will be opened in a couple of hours. I have some wonderfully perfect gifts from friends, too! I feel thoroughly spoilt! Birthday cake later!
Most of all thank you all so much for thinking of me today, it means the world to me. xUntil one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Happy Birthday WaS!
Code and Tea, I will try and find my doggy Christmas pudding recipe (no currants!) for you. Not made it for a few years cos it stinks something awful when you cook it, but the dogs I have had have always loved it!
Little Sod loves Christmas, particularly opening presents. He seems to know, and covers jumping on the bed Christmas morning all excited!0 -
Hi, um, mind if I sit in here for a bit?
I have... various species of brain bat*. At last count there were 6 of them. Probably more, I don't know. I don't have access to MI services anymore because they keep refusing to see me on the grounds they "don't think I need treatment" (a decision they made without ever meeting me) and there's only one NHS place in the area and I'm just too tired to argue with them anymore so. Whatever. After 20 years I'm used to MH "professionals" not wanting anything to do with me anyway blah blah blah.
But, well, currently trying to deal with the ever-charming people at ESA and struggling to meet ends meet and it's Xmas soon which I always spend on my own because I have no family and
I dunno.
I believe it's someone's birthday, so happy birthday person I don't know yet.

Meant to respond to MU earlier. My anxiety has also been bad recently and as a fellow public transport user, I understand the problem.
Panic attacks work this way: When you get anxious you start to breathe faster and shallower to prepare your body for flight. If flight never happens, your body starts to freak out about lack of oxygen in the cells. This means you breathe faster, which means less oxygen, more panic and the breathlessness/heart racing/sweating/fainting as your body tries to recover. I'm not explaining very well but that is the general idea. I am trying to practice breathinb techniques to cut this off as soon as I can - you can find these in the internet but the usual rule is breathe out for longer than you breathe in. It's difficult when you reach
a full scale panic though so its important to learn the early signs. I carry my tension in my shoulders and when they're up around my ears, I know it's time to take action.
Another thing I have done is shift my working hours so I don't have to be on the really busy trains - I've found if you can avoid rush hour, it makes it much more pleasant. Would work be open to changing your hours to accommodate this?
Other than that, maybe doing some exercise that encourages relaxation would be a good thing - like yoga or tai chi. I used to feel amazing after yoga classes (the 15 minutes of just lying and breathing afterwards is wonderful) and it really toned me up. Really need to find another class - I didn't like the teacher in the last one - she kept shoving blocks under me but I just take time to get into a stretch and what she was doing made me hurt my back. I think she is more used to advanced students.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
