Seems to me the docs should be looking out for you as well as OH, and if they've agreed that as a safeguarding plan then they're letting you down. I get you want to support OH, but you're important as well, you know.
I'll shut up now - don't want you to feel you can't come here for support - but it worries me what you're agreeing to.
On the meds front. Seroxat which I think s a type of SSRI made me feel sick for a couple of weeks but certainly not zombified. And any anxiety was me, not the meds, if that helps. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Only agreed if I call if more support is needed and go and see them (why I'm fairly sure they will want me to take ads)
I know and thank you.
A lot of agencies are failing to be honest hence the anger I need to get it to a simmer if not gone completely before I lose it it will not be pretty if I do I know myself and I am not nice when I get like this0 -
On a different note, I was told I'm a useless waste of space today by a bloke dressed as Superman. I do like my job.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Do you let the rest of the workforce work when they're extremely fatigued, anxious and suffering from stress? I'm sorry if it looks like I'm picking on you but I think some tough love is needed here. You wouldn't set foot on one of my sites (for your own good!) Please go to the gp, discuss medication with them and get yourself signed off for a couple of weeks.0 -
I would if occy health said it was fine tea
And they have
Sitting at home will.make me worse because I won't sleep due to the noise at work I get some respite from the unrelenting !!!!! that is here0 -
I'm on venlafaxine and it is great.
I am so glad I went back on it after I tried to do without in the summer.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I tried citalopram and had quite bad withdrawals from it when I stopped. It did seem to help with the anxiety. I have found sertraline suits me more though. II think you just need to pick one to try, see how it suits you, and if it doesn't then try something else. Each will be different for each person.0

need to catch up on the thread, but quick question, does anyone have any experiences with getting help for anxiety/panic attacks?
bascially i;ve alays ha issues with it but recently its gotten a lot worse. I know CBT can be helpful but i need help right now with it so was hoping the doctor might prescribe meds for it (i know we cant offer medical advice but if anyone has expereinced it that would be helpful), i'm really really struggling with public transport atm because of the business and crowds and anxiety and feel if there was something to take the edge off i'll be able to get through the next few weeks of work. I;ve heard beta blockers can help with the physical symptoms. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I refuse point blank to ever touch citalopram again
i was on it when i OD and i swear it made the suicidal thoughts and self harm thoughts a million times worse for me.
I'm back on fluoextine now and its supposed to help with anxiety too but is doing sweet f.a.
I was on setraline for a while but then started *ahem* getting milk leaking from the boobs which is a side effect apparently
And i was on a very high does of trazadone but that left me zombified and they later found i had a senstitively to it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
