Ok, incoming warning. We're getting to December when I'm finally able to celebrate Christmas which is good, but I also become aware of the child shaped hole in my life. It sounds stupid but I grieve a bit for every tradition that I thought would one day be adopted, for Santa and reindeer, for school plays and for Christmas morning excitement. At the same time, every screaming child makes me happy I don't have to deal with that and I know that our situation (teensy house, my chronic pain, body image issues and birth defect inducing medication to name a few things,) doesnt lend itself to child rearing, still I miss the children I never got to have.
As a result, I overcompensate with other stuff. Like dressing the dog up and watching waay too many Christmas movies to push away the sadness. So errm, yeah. Prepare for an onslaught of christmas jumpers and jammies and cookies.
And, please don't feel awkward about sharing stories of the thread littlies. I like to hear about them.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
