Pyxis and I will soon have you warbling carols, code!
I have just crossed something else off the To Do list.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Muppet Christmas Carol might be the best film ever, not just Christmas ones0

I agree on Muppets Christmas Carol. It's the best Christmas film ever. Not Christmas until I've seen it.

We were writing letters to Santa at brownies last night. The girls had to say what they'd done to be on the good list (not list what presents they wanted!)... which led to a huge discussion about whether Santa can see you in the bathroom, and whether it 'counts' if you're naughty in the bathroom if that's the place he's not looking.

Hello DM! Sorry I wasn't here to welcome you yesterday! Your posts are lovely, of course we don't think you are a fool. I am a huge procrastinator and for me it's linked to my anxiety. I tend to get into such a panic about things, especially official things that I freeze. Then my brain finds a thousand other things to do (useful stuff like such a staring into space) which would be better than the thing I am actually supposed to be doing. It did get better once I tackled some of the anxiety, my medication helps with that as did CBT.
I also appear very confident to people, complete with big beaming smile and it used to cause me problems with mental health professionals because I would automatically enter I'm Fine! mode when I walked in the door. I finally started giving them notes that said although I am smiling I am falling apart, I just can't show it. Now it is on my records that I project a confident demeanor but it doesn't mean I'm fine. I remember once my favourite psychiatrist suddenly said to me "There are so many tears behind your smile" and it made me sob my heart out on the spot.
Big hugs Code, hope you can get some rest later. The half wired, half asleep feeling is horrid.
Tea, I am constantly wiping my nose and snuffling and clearing my throat if I reduce the opiates plus my blood pressure pill gives me a permanent cough. Go slowly, they aren't good to reduce too fast.
I wanted to say a big thank you to you all for putting up with me over the last few days. You have all been so kind and patient as I have waffled on. I am pretty much back to normal service now and taking my usual dose of medication. I actually woke up before midday which is a small miracle in itself. I do feel a lot better, still a bit out of it but it's bearable. Thank you all for being here for me. xxUntil one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Yoohoo, melly? Pretty please can you check in, even if you check straight out again? We worry when we don't hear from you.
I have just been for my first flu jab - work recommendation. I nearly ran straight out again as they mentioned some of the potential initial side effects. Then I told myself I'd nagged parent unmercifully till she gave in, so I couldn't bottle it on my own behalf.:o
JM - I had a meeting with local Mind the other day, and thought of you. I was very impressed with the creativity. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
