Alternatively - start making a "wake up" cd and a "sleepy time" cd - each with at least 6 songs on. If you use these from day dot with escapee he will know that they signify time to sleep or time to wake up.
Brilliant idea, Flybaby! Especially if you always play the bedtime one when escapee is obviously falling asleep, and the wake-up one when they're obviously wide awake.........association of ideas then gets embedded!
A bit like a Pavlov's escapee!(Hopefully, the salivation will be kept to a minimum!)

Lovely idea Flybaby, only making CDs would require some basic knowledge of technology!
I wouldn't even have a clue how to download a song. I can find things on YouTube but that is about my limit. I need to wait for hubby to come home for lunch to put me a DVD on as I can't work out which telly remote makes it play on the TV!!
I shall accept the nursery rhyme challenge though. Might put some verses on a canvas or something at a later date to go on the wall.
Nearly finished my knitted blankets. I am so glad escapee will not be able to judge my skills as they look pretty awful!0 -
Katy, if you have an iPad or Mac, just go into iTunes, and Search for say, children's songs. When you find some you like you click on the buy button, and Bob's your uncle!
Don't know what happens on a PC, but it must be similar!(I just lurve spiders!)

I have a tablet thing but no idea what sort it is, I know it's not an ipad.
ITunes is alien to me! Remember, I have only just got the hang of posting pictures on here
I still own a video player and videos, and have cassette tapes to listen to in the car!
Slightly embarrassing for a 32 year old....!0 -

You're 6 years older than me and I don't think I've ever owned cassettes! It was all CDs for me. And then I ran out of room.:oSealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I've got two tape recorders! In. a portable one which I use for AmDram as it's better than the iPad for some uses! I also have a video recorder! And a turntable!
Because I have videos, tape cassettes and vinyls that I still play from time to time!
Oh, and a CD player.
But I also have a long playlist of downloads on my iPad, a blu-ray player, a DVD player/recorder and a hard disc TV recorder!
None of that lot comes up to the sound production of a long-since defunct Midi hifi system , with a 5- band graphic equaliser, mic socket, and karaoke function! It was brilliant and lasted ages.
I hate pre-set graphic equalisers. Just can't get the sound right.(I just lurve spiders!)

Calley - oh no..............do not be deceived...........laughing my as* off at you referring to me as having "drive and enthusiasm".............but thank you so much as it makes me feel so much better to know that someone out there thinks that I do!!! I used to be drive, enthusiasm and motivation, but that woman has melted away.
I have my good days and bad days and the good days are usually when I plan and organise to do something practical like the building work. Then I have days like today where I slept till 11am after a bad night, got up and it was raining so can't finish yesterday garden work and so, instead of cleaning the house, putting away the mountains of washing, hovering, going shopping, picking up stuff, doing accounts or basically anything constructive........ I have sat here feeling useless this morning. I have done an online food order (to avoid having to go shopping) and I have cleared out 1000's of emails (which made me feel sad for all the people I have lost contact with over the years) and now I am sitting here feeling utterly useless for not having a job and wondering what ever possessed me to quit my good job as I have lost all my confidence and am trying really hard to force myself out of the door before I become a complete recluse and lose any potential viability of getting back to work. Just the thought of having to go get a pint of milk and go to the post office can stress me out for an entire day - yet the next day, I could organise the world.
I find physical and practical "large" tasks or projects easier to achieve - but day to day living and running of the house etc more difficult to manage. I will be moving on to building and renovating inside the house now the weather seems to have put a halt to the garden renovations. I can do projects that need to be done, but struggle to complete things I am supposed to enjoy doing.
I try to post about my positive activities most of the time so that I don't feel so guilty when I do have a rant and rave, but rest assured, most of the time I am figuratively hiding in the basement of the blanky fort hoping that no-one can see me..........except I know you all can coz occasionally someone pokes a Jaffa cake or cheese stick under the blanket for me. This really does feel like a safe space doesn't it......so as always, thanks in squish loads to everyone for making it such.0 -
Welly - alternatively you could spend the day balancing maltesers on your belly and seeing how far escapee can kick them!0

Katy- if it's not an ipad then it's either an android - in which case it should have Google play music (similar to itunes) or a windows tablet (you'd probably know if it was windows so I'll guess android). You could also download Spotify. Sometimes someone has made play lists in YouTube which you can use. If you put baby sleep songs and baby wake up songs into YouTube you'll get a list.
Non-serious penguin - a fluffy baby penguin. No triggers here.
Of course, a person can always download songs from YouTube and change them to an mp3 file, but that would be naughty and obviously I'd never encourage such things.

Also flybaby - is that a typo or have you really spent part of your day hovering? Is that why you're called flybaby?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
