New babies always look odd Code. Escapette looked like an angry potato. She has only just started to get less spud-like and more cute!0

Don't worry too much about Father Christmas, Welly. I realised it was my dad buying me presents when I was 7 and then purposely didn't tell him that I knew until I was 11, because I didn't want the game to end. I then realised the easter bunny and tooth fairy couldn't be real either, I still pretended I believed! I wasn't disappointed at all and found it funny and tried to catch him putting my gifts out. By the time I was 9 I had realised if dad was buying the presents then I could specifically ask for things just before his pay day from the toy shop he went past on the way home from work, because I had more chance of getting them! Devious, moi?
I have added Mikulas to my celebration calendar, thank you, Code!
Hahahaha! You reminded me of when our roof here leaked, tea. Yes, I stood underneath it so that I could be dripped on and giggled a lot, bad weather is welcome anywhere! Told you I'm weird.
I understand about missing your dad, Georgie. This is a difficult month for me too. On the 10th it was my dad's birthday and also the day he almost died having his leg amputated and in 10 days it's my birthday which is the day he took his life. I always miss him a lot every November but I try to think of the happy times, it doesn't always work. Have a hug.
Spock! My inner trekkie thanks you, Fierystormcloud! Hello!
Big hugs, warm handshakes and squishes for everyone today, it sounds like we all need them. Everyone is welcome to hibernate in the fort and I will stand outside and guard everyone whilst enjoying the lovely winter weather and you can all guard me in the summer.
WaSp is now reloading his Windows laptop with Linux. Yes, he is that bored. As for me I dreamt that I was having an anxiety attack and then woke up actually having one. Thanks, brain.
I used to make birthday cakes for my hamsters out of oats, dried fruit, melted hamster chocolate and honey. You could easily make cookies the same way. They also had a full christmas dinner every year. Contrary to popular belief hamsters love meat, they are actually omnivores and mine adored chicken.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I wanted my DDs to have the excitement of "Santa" but felt it was unfair that presents people had bought were from Santa and taken for granted.
We decided to say that presents were from family but the stockings were from santa and still looked at santa site etc and left out carrot, sherry etc for Santa and Rudolph.
I don't think they missed out on anything although I was mortified when they were asked by a santa what they wanted and one said "a yo yo" and the other one " a skipping rope"
They still enjoy a stocking nowadays and the youngest is 21!"This site is addictive!"
