  • Apparently there's a witness who says OH started it.
The fact there was no one there, OH isn't mobile, no one answered when the police knocked at the time.
They haven't even spoken to the witness they've spoken to his mum.
    Oh and it's !!!!!!!!
    Doesn't matter

If its causing you stress, of course it matters. Sorry you're having to deal with these !!!!!. :( Surely they can't base this on what his mum has said, she isn't the supposed "witness" so what does she have to do with it?!

  • Operation eviction failed Georgie, all I've done I'd given myself a bad back so far!

I bet you are exhausted Dragonette. I find animals affect so much more than people, his your ex is OK.

I used to have an agreement with a friend when we both lived alone Gingernutty. We would have to either text each other or reply to a Facebook thingy once a day so we knew each other was OK. It was nice to know that someone would be concerned if anything happened.

WaS that is a great present, I'm at sure she will love it! And very MSE too!

Melly Im sure after everything that has happened the police will take this witness with a pinch of salt, and speaking to the mother of the witness wouldn't be able to be used as evidence for anything anyway!

Welly, The little one seems determined to stay in Hotel Mummy as long as they can!

Must be pretty cosy in there! I was 2 weeks overdue and my mum reckons i was just enjoying the home comforts too much :p that and i'm stubborn as hell!

  • Aww, thanks Welly, he'll be OK but it's never a nice thing, no matter how necessary.
Melly, I'm sure the police will be well aware of how to deal with dodgy witnesses! It must happen fairly frequently.

I managed a nap, and had just typed out a long post when the forum seemed to go down. Might have had a bit of a flap over that - oh well! I've got my first ever psychiatric appt tomorrow. I've planned the practical stuff (mostly), downloaded some comedy from radio iplayer and am trying to not fret. Just have no idea what the appt will involve! I'm seeing a trainee GP who is doing specialised training from the consultant psychiatrist, so that's a little less scary?

Mainly I'm just unsure, the primary MH team seemed to think I'm a complicated case. I've almost normalised dissociation, and some of the alternative headspaces I experience are life enriching and enjoyable. Will need to see how they react to mild BDSM discussion before I tell them the level of things I ask for. But letting those headspaces out seems to relieve the pressure. Ugh. Oh I don't know, will find out I guess

From my own experience, in the first appointment i had with my psych, it was more going over your life history, she wanted to know about health, relationships, family etc. It was basically bringing her up to speed on everything that had happened in life (i still have a copy of that assessment somewhere, can try dig it out if that helps?)

I'm sure you won't be the first person to discuss BDSM with them, so don't be afraid to tell them everything you think they need to know. The more they know about you, the more they can do to help.

  • Thank you! I'm just fretting because it's a new experience, and I'm going alone. Is very kind of you to offer to dig out your assessment, just the reassurance that other people have had appointments go well helps.

I'm OK discussing most of my MH things, so I guess it shouldn't be hard to tell them to a Dr. It's just the fear of the reaction - at this point I can still tell myself is not a big thing and doesn't matter

Keep telling yourself that. Most of these people will hav been working years in their field they've probably seen hundreds of people, chances are they've heard most things. (i remember telling my psych i was sleeping in a cupboard, she didn't even blink..seriously i think there are other cupboard dwellers out there! :p )

I know its a scary experience, opening up to anyone, especially a stranger always is, but this a first step and a big one, and you can do it. :)
