  • Sorry about D, Georgie. Have you got any headphones? Maybe pop them on and retreat into your own world?

Ha D must have heard you, he's just stuck his headphones on!

Ha. You probably missed the whole pigeon thing. DH punched me in his sleep because he was dreaming that I was a pigeon. So now I'm a codepigeon, or in Portuguese a codigopombo.

Oh yeah of course! I remember now, memory like a sieve!

Yeah, you're not expected to remember every random Portuguese phrase I know.
Especially not the one about the judge starting the trial now.

Think of Vegas and deep breaths.

    Ok
    I hate fireworks
    I don't just dislike them
    I hate them
I have just spent 4 hours calm g a dog who was so distressed she weed herself down.
    Next year thundershirt and valium
  • Poor little doggy Melly :( I saw those thundershirts advertised on tv, I wonder if they do actually work? I like the idea behind it.

Can someone drag me away from the Etsy and Yankee Candle websites before I have a mega spending spree!

Works on 80% of dogs apparently most reviews are positive.
Have to try desensitisation hasn't worked she's ripped my leg trying to climb up me
We'd and then got upset by that poor love
  • Poor dog :( hmm, cats can get pheromone plug ins - like air freshener. It's very soothing for them, I wonder if there is an equivalent for dogs? There are meds which can reduce the stress but they need about a week and a half to work.
I'm not usually in favour of much more than de-sensitising, but if it hasn't worked and she's that distressed, then any and all options could worth it.

Feel like my head is rather foggy, haven't been able to keep up with the thread. The kondo thread has gone a bit into the traumas that can cause cluttering and hoarding. I added my story, and am trying to not be anxious about the responses it might get. It has helped me link up a few things :) So I'm glad for things to make more sense

There is. It's called adapital iirc and you can get plug ins and collars. You can also use a small tshirt if you don't have a thundershirt.

Brave of your to post your story dragonette.

Does anyone else feel sort of guilty after you talk to an ex? I spent a bit of time talking to the f/soe (friend/sort of ex) just general distracting stuff and now I feel a bit guilty even though nothing even remotely flirty happened. I have flirtier encounters at work !!!!!!! I feel bad because I talked to someone who used to see me naked a million years ago. What's wrong with me?

  • I love love love these (and I bet WaS will too!)

Just in case they are a penguin for anyone, these are soft toys based on drawings of different types of mental illness.

Like the idea but not the price, suppose if you are creative you could buy the pattern and make your own,do not like anxiety,it gives me the creeps and the soft toy depression is cuter than I would have imagined.Would be interested to hear what others think.

I agree! Sorry (and I'm probably gonna be the only one here?), but I really don't like them. If I suffered from any of those conditions, I wouldn't want a soft toy named after them. To me, a soft toy is meant to be cuddly, cute, soothing and calming, and those to me are not, they make me anxious just looking at them, particularly the OCD one!
