  • I'm Christmas shopping tonight too code. I haven't actually bought anything yet, but I'm looking round for ideas. I love buying gifts for people :) Have just been on the Yankee website. My Mam, Aunty and MIL all like their candles....can't resist adding a few things (ok more than a few!) for myself, I love candles and tarts!

D wants a Nespresso machine, so that's him sorted bar a few stocking fillers.

One of the BIL's (we do a secret Santa between us all) put a list in this time of what he wanted! :rotfl: Apparently that would be Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave!

Your homemade hamper sounds really good! I'd love to receive something like that, more personal, and everything will get used.

MU, sorry to hear you're still feeling carp :( I didn't quite finish my Walkers Balsamic Vinegar crisps before, you can have those :)

Code - I used cashews - I think it was 100g nuts to 170gs sugar, do you want me to look it up? Or walnuts, which I sprinkled a little rock salt on. I used clear cellophane bags tied with ribbons - in the first instance anyway. Now, I have to take a celebrations tin full of them. Also could try saving herb jars, mustard jars, mint sauce jars etc and filled them.
Didn;t think of using my phone - dur!

    squish for MU

not having a good day, been struggling with mh, but surviving day to day. had a argument with daughter yesterday, she's cutting all contact with me so will also loose contact with grandaughter. finding it hard to cope tonight, when i realised how serious she is blocked me on facebook
  • Loads of fireworks here tonight, much more than last night. The neighbours are setting them off so they're so loud! Just watched about ten Chinese lanterns float past too. I know they can be a fire hazard and detrimental to animals and the environment etc, but they do look magical floating past!

    sorry to hear this :(

Do you think if daughter had some time to calm down and think things through she might reconsider the no contact thing? Sometimes we say or do things in when we are angry that we don't mean. Sometimes a bit of time apart is needed to let off steam and for things to calm down.

    The reason for it was

I need to be here and the Dr said it's not that contagious
Pointed out its still spread via coughs and sneezes and it's only not that contagious compared to measles etc. Stupid person

Hmmm, sounds like you need to have a word about changing illness policy so that anything like mumps, measles, pox etc is reported to work via phone for advice and not to come in without permission.
Ugh - any idea how may people he could have infected or his timeline? Got any pregnants?
Find it hard to believe someone can be that selfish, especially when yours sounds like a nice workplace too. Any employer in their right mind would at least observe a five day rule for mumps. did he tell anyone?
