Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite too. 'Light the lamp, not the rat!'.
I am ignoring the ghostbusters reboot! Trying to decide whether to see the new Star Wars movie but the last 3 almost ruined the originals for me.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

While I-III were awful, I am ridiculously excited about VII. Not to the point of going to a midnight screening as I won't enjoy it if I'm that tired, but I will be going soon after release.codemonkey wrote: »I also maintain there are only 3 Star Wars movies and 3 Die Hards.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

Hello faerie! lovely to see you, have a hug!
I saw some of The Walking Dead and loved it and then people I liked started dying so I couldn't watch it anymore. I am still sort of with the series though, every Sunday my friend in America watches it while talking to me on a messenger programme and tells me what is happening as it occurs in each episode. It's kind of like watching tv but not and safe for me.
I have only seen the first released Star Wars film! I really should do something about that. I have however, watched every single Star trek episode and all spin-off's in existence probably several times and own them all. I can't believe I just publicly admitted what a Trekkie I am...
PS. I want a gremlin, I loved that film...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I love Gremlins 2, the final bit where they're all singing New York, New York is sheer brilliance!

I'm excited about Star Wars! My DH is stupidly giddy about it; he's read all of the books (from Episode III onward, apparently there's a whole load of other books from another timeline too...?) so is pretty miffed that supposedly the films aren't following the books, but still looking forward to the film. He's a huge Trekky too and I have sadly picked up on all the in-jokes by nerd-osmosis! I actually really enjoyed the latest films, I think it helps that Chris Pine stars in them.

I am dead pleased as it means I can afford a couple of textbooks for my course.0 -
Birdie - completely agree - casting of the new star trek films is absolutely brilliant. My hubby used to tease me for being a nerd/geek, but now he seems to be proud of the fact that I can outfact any of his mates down the pub as it is now "in" to be geek. at least he now understands when I "Sheldon" laugh at some of his useless mates crap jokes or comments!!!0
