  • Morning Everyone
Having a quick break from chopping onions for onion marmalade, as my eyes are streaming buckets and starting to get a bit sore!

Joining the flylady thread today as I need to get those dust demons sorted before the new carpets are laid (whenever that is!!!)

Had a good weekend dispite all the rain and made £26 selling jams/chutney's etc at the front door so that goes to my 'pay off the kenwood chef fund'.

Going to sort out the food cupboards today slowly getting through the stash... & making some mincemeat to sell on the doorstep at xmas time. The village is packed on the 4 weekends before cribo as the cave is magically decorated as Sants grotto and it draws hoards.

Right eyes are drying better get back to chopping.

    Have a great day everyone

  • Hi everyone
Alilbob thoughts are with you and your Dad hope goes well.
Fb3 hope you feel better soon

Well it is a terrible day here-- black and pouring with rain.

We have got visitors so that is a real shame when you want them to see everything at its best.

Evertyone else fast asleep so I am enjoying a few minutes catching up with myself before I lay up for breakfast.

Made 7 jars of Marrow chutney ob Saturday and then when I went out to the little veg plot there were more monsters so it is going to be a ratatouille bake up this week for the freezer.

    Right thats me for today

Happy days to anyone celebrating and supportive thoughts to anyone sad or poorly

Only 7 more days to Oh retirement-- ideas box going well. All packed and ready to surprise him.

    Morning all.

Kyle and Charlies_mum - say hi to Florida for me.

Well, DH and I have our 13th anniversary today. Got a bottle of fizz in the fridge, but other than that we're not doing much. DH is off work tomorrow so hopefully it'll be nice enough for us to go out somewhere with the kids.

Need to attack the "master" bedroom today. Then I'm going to start unloading the kitchen ready to pull all the units out. Thought to be honest they're so scabby and ancient they'll probably fall down by them selves. Please all of you don't let me slack off.

Then it's out for a walk with the kids and home for potato salad, gammon steaks and broccoli.

Take care all - looks like it's going to be anice day here.

    Thank you PP :j

We spent ages searching through websites, started with google, from there we went through to loads of different sites then links from those sites, it seemed never-ending  Didn't come across that one though, will spend all morning on there and will update on any bookings later :D

No problem hun. I hope you find something suitable. It sounds like you need a break and get away.

We also found our lovely bungalow in Norfolk on that site and the owner is lovely and often emails me to see how I am. We have booked up for Xmas and she has given us 8 nights for £240, which is fabulous for the New Year week. She also supplies you with bread, butter, cheese, milk, bacon and FR eggs:D ...we loved it and was so peaceful and quiet.

    Good Luck.

Not sure really, but my first move would be to sprinkle liberally with bicarb to neutralise the smell.

My dd aged 7 has never been dry at night. Thank goodness for Dry Nites I say. I'm just waiting for the problem to solve itself, not sure if this is just being lazy or sensible, but it means none of us is stressed by the situation.

    Morning all

Grey and windy here this morning. There's a real nip in the wind too - I'm another one who's a big fan of Autumn :D

Went to Lakeside shopping centre yesterday - was looking to start getting some winter bits for DD's - any excuse to go to the big primark there! Spent about £75 but got xmas pressie for my neice, 2 prs of pj's each for DD's - new dressing gowns for DD's, new socks/tights/school tights for DD's - a couple of sweatshirts each for DD's and a gorgeous quilted peacock blue bedspread for them each - they both had new slippers on Saturday and wanted to snuggle up in all their new winter stuff last night!

We came home to a gorgeous bit of beef we'd left in the SC - was a £3 bit of brisket and it was just melt in the mouth gorgeous.

DH went to work early this morning and is off to London this afternoon as he's in court representing the company (they seem to think very highly of him - and rightly so) so no idea what time he'll be home so dinner will be a "something on toast" night.

Going to do the school uniform lableing today - wish me luck!

    Have a great day all.

alibob30 - hope your Dads op goes well, my DH had heart surgery a few years ago so I know how you feel xx

Kyle - well done on your continuing weight loss!:T

Peem - happy anniversary to you both!

(((hugs))) to anyone feeling poorly today xx

day off today and have to spend it waiting in for a repair man to fix my leaking overflow pipe yet again! came last week and said it was sorted but it wasn't, also left lid off water tank(health hazzard) and didnt relag the tanks. I complained to the HA so hopefully it will be sorted today, been leaking for 3 weeks right outside my bedroom window so that it sounds like its permanantly raining!

Also got to fit in a little once a fortnight cleaning job I do for some pocket money - vacuuming the house of an 80+ year old lady, not hard work but get £8 an hour:D

Both DSs in bed:rolleyes: going to wake them shortly see if I can get them up before lunch!

    Have a great day folks

    Take care xxxx
    Do what you love :happyhear
