  • Good morning everyone!

N9eav - a very big well done  Hope the 2 missing people in Newquay are found soon.

Alibob - best wishes to you and your dad :A

Trying to finish the waiscoats I'm making today. I've not done dressmaking for about 10 years, and have really enjoyed it. Want to make a skirt now :j

DS finished his go-kart over the weekend. We took it to a big hill near us (not many of them in the Yorkshire flatlands ;) ) and he had a great time. That was until he tipped himself out. He'll mend :D

    Have a great day - Penny. x

    Morning :hello:

N9eav, I thought of you when I saw the news, wondered if you were there :grouphug:

We're supposed to be going to Cornwall for a week on the 15th sept (15th-ish, anywhere near that date will do) but we can't find self-catering accomodation that we either like, or isn't too expensive  Was really looking forward to it, it's the first time for years that we've been able to go outside of the school holidays so we thought it would be nice and quiet - I like to see the REAL Cornwall, not have my exploring blocked by tourists (yes I know I'm a tourist too LOL). We've been loads of times and know it really well so we know all the hidden gems :D

I put the heating on yesterday  I was so cold, my feet were like ice.

I have a lot to say but I won't, don't wanna drag you all down

    Have you tried here:

    http://www.cottageguide.co.uk/index.html

You can contact the owners directly and with it being short notice, you could barter with them, which is what I do:p ...we are going to Taunton next week in a cottage for £220 for the week and its 6 weeks holidays.

    Morning All

Completely shattered here. Had the busiest of weekends. Was working yesterday morning, then had to dash down to our air show, as one of the Falcons had been injured, so I had to deal with that, followed by a bomb scare. Very draining. Got some plans with RAF Police, which if it happens, will be brilliant.

On my own at work today - the other girl's off. So got to do two people's work myself. I can hardly keep my eyes open. Was hoping to sleep when I get home, but Mum's got the sofa cleaning man coming. So little hope of any shut eye there. I'm downing tea and cola like no one's business to try and perk me up.

Got bad tummy ache today too, so things are really not building up to the best start of the week!!

Going to see the bank later probably to ask why I've not had anything through about a savings account I opened 5 weeks ago. I've paid in money to it too, so I don't want to lose that. I can't afford to lose anymore money after the ex walked away with loads of my cash.

I have no idea at all as to what's for dinner. So far I've managed to notch up £12 in expenses at work, which will help a little bit, but not by much. I really miss the overtime I used to get paid.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Morning all,
slept late-ish as OM didn't set the alarm, as it is almost antique and 'his' I can cheerfully blame him for the extra beauty sleep....

Thanks to those mentioning FlyLady, I fully intended to get my head round her system. I did look at the website, but think the MSE thread might be more help QUICKLY if you see what I mean. As usual I want a clean, organised house yesterday!

Well, off to start the WM.

    Have a great day all.

    Morning All!

Well I feel cheated out of a weekend! We both had a cold/flu that only lasted just 24 hrs. Very strange! And the flippin' drizzle/rain/downpours. What happened to summer? Going to go to other thread about preparing for winter after this!

OH up early, but I was already awake. Got up and read book in chair, feet up. 20 yr old cat stretched along legs, Echo-cat stretched across ankles, and PK on my tummy. Boy did my knees lock with the weight! Good book though (5th horseman, james patterson).

Going to make 8 wk plan today - things to sort out in life and house before visiting US family. Might even start work on it.

    Have a good day all!
