I've just read that thread, OMG there's going to be another crash! :rotfl:Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
It's surprising how powerful confirmation bias can be I even find if I read that website for any period of time my outlook temporarily turns negative. I only regain sanity when I remind myself that House Prices tend to only go down in recessions and then only marginally (15% rather than 50%). And that the fundamentals of supply not meeting demand should drive prices higher.
I think currently the HPC hero/hope is the tax changes to interest but that is due to be phased in over the next 5 years which is a lot of ammo to keep the faith and convince others too for years to come
Whatever happens good luck to them all0 -
Personally, my money is still on a 50% drop by Christmas 20090

The thing that gets me is the graph on the home page clearly suggests what's going to happen. If history repeats itself we are clearly looking at a continued and probably much increased housing boom over the next five to ten years.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0

is this the graph that suggests that house prices are about 10% below their long term trend value?0

The desperation (and projection) is strong on this thread. A forum with about a dozen regular HPI mentalists calling one with hundreds of regular posters "on it`s last legs" is beyond laughable.0
