It seems they finally realise they've all missed the boat! :money:0

I've witnessed the biggest ever surge in prices in my target buy to let location whereby 1 bed flats that were changing hands for £145k 4 months ago are now comming to market at £180-£190k. I suspect some will be down valued by lenders but owners will insist buyers make up any shortfall or take a hike. This happened to me 2 months ago, had to make up shortfall with cash.
2 beds averaged about £190k but four months on the prices are £230k on average and the knock-on effect on houses is equally dramatic.0 -

Maybe a one year time lag with inner London?

Last time I looked it had 21 likes. Maybe his parents haven't taken the news of his departure too well.
Hopefully any new arrivals on HPC twig that if you want to achieve something the advice of people who have already achieved is probably more valuable than those who haven't.
Loughton Monkey's mantra that buying early and buying what you can afford would have served a lot of the HPC crew well. We can't know if that'll remain sound advice but it doesn't look as if Plan A is working out so great.
Maybe they should buy some prime London stuff instead. There's been daily evidence of a crash posted over there for nearly two years now. Why pay £500k for a pokey place in E17 when you can get a Mayfair pad for what must be peanuts by now?0 -
Where is he going to go and what will he do when he gets there?
One of them on that thread Is 43 and had presumably been waiting most of his adult life for a crash that never comes.0 -

So sad to see Danny leaving. I am sure estate agents across the land were hugely worried about his campaign
Reminds me of brit1234's pathetic little buyers strike
There's another one that boasted openly a few years about having a 25% deposit but was waiting for "the crash"
Sadly, I think both brit and Mr Daniel Lee have well and truly missed the boat

The soft end of the human trafficking business.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0
