RedX didn't see your comment before posting. I'd like to be as nice as possible to the managing agent and official/officious to CEL.0

I would use the F word to the director – it sounds a bit more serious.0

I would still put pressure on all the shops that you / she visited ..... speak in person to the managers ...... ask them who will be their named person if this gets to court .... post on their facebook pages ....
keep up the pressure .....
good luck

Don't be ridiculous, that's just making it sound legitimate.0 -
Turns out I haven't found the managing agent yet.
When sending the template letter to the PPC do you recommend sticking to the format 'abcde, formal challenge, drop hands and breach of ccrs' or add my own bits about legitimate use of car park for legitimate purposes. I can't imagine the PPC would care what you were doing or why you were there. They just want the cash.0 -

I would also add about the occupants goint about their legitimate business on the site and adding redacted copies of receipts and bank statements (saying the unredacted originals will be shown to a judge when the PPC show the unredacted contract to the same judge) , assuming you have receipts and bank statements to hand
I helped a relative do this with PE and the charge was cancelled , almost 2 years ago now , the point is that they tend to have a minimum spend limit in these places , like PE with aldi etc
the point is to not mention THE DRIVER , MY WIFE etc , the less they know the better0 -

My wife got a £70 fine (reduced from £100) for parking in Goldstone Retail Park Hove. She had a nice lunch with some lady friends at Nandos and browsed around TK Max for a while. She was there 3 hours 40 minutes. Apparently it's 3 hours maximum. There's a furniture shop, Toys R Us, Pets at home. Several shops where you can legitimately spend a few hours shopping.
I spoke to Nandos who couldn't care less.
The parking is enforced by Civil Enforcement Ltd and the signs are quite clear if you get close enough to read them.
Since the abomination of a law was upheld at appeal is it worth fighting these anymore?
Thanks for the advice.
How much is the charge £70?
19.7 If prompt payment is made (defined as 14 days from
the issue of the parking charge notice) you must offer
a reduced payment to reflect your reduced costs in
collecting the charge. This reduction in cost should be by at
least 40% of the full charge.0
