I did open the dispute as not recieved. A few days after that they arrived. I didn't close the dispute though as I then read about people having problems with the company.
I am just not sure what to do now. The other person in this thread won thier disput but didn't get a ferund as there is no money in Bloomin direct's account. If I send them back and they don't refund.......i'm left with nothing.

Not sure what to do really.

If you chargeback the transaction on your credit card they wont pay out to Paypal. If you tell them you got the boots its likely they will expect you to await Paypal's decision before they chargeback this may mean arranging their return or getting written proof of them being fakes which others here have had problems getting. Personally although its not being completely honest under the circumstances and what this company has done to buyers I think I would stick with non receipt and ask for a chargeback and let paypal try and get the money back from the seller. Paypal are notorious for backing out of helping victims of these scams they wont care if you never see your money again. There's no proof you received them which means you would win a Paypal dispute as the seller cannot provide a signed tracking number but they will probably say there are no funds to refund you, your card issuer can stop the funds regardless of whether Paypal recover any funds from the seller. Why should you lose your hard earned cash when there is a way where you are more likely not to. Maybe Paypal might actually do something if they suffer a loss.

Really wanted some cardy uggs but they are out of stock everywhere it seems and been told in a couple of shops round my way that it will be March time before they have any in and I just can't wait that long lol. So been thinking that I might get some classic tall ones in black or grey. Was wondering whats the best price anyone has seen for these recently? And please reassure me they are worth the money lol.

M and M Direct have a few Cardis on at £60.........but they only have size 9.5. Lucky if you're that size

I bought my classic tall in black from M and M a couple of months ago for £90. Def worth keeping an eye on them - but they do tend to stock larger sizes. Great if you have big feet like me lol. Good price though.

I have the grey cardis - highly recommend them :)

Ok well I ordered UGG boots (Sundance) from Bloomindirect the week before Christmas (why oh why did no one post here before then? I did check!). I actually received the boots, was at first impressed but also suspicious of course as I did notice a couple of imperfections. I thought the fur felt fake, but I compared it to Sunburst UGGS in the shop and it actually feels identical. But the stitching is a bit sloppy at the join on the top and they are VERY slouchy at the ankle not having worn them at all. Also the fur on one boot is obviously in two strips not one so there is an obvious looking gap. I should have known better, more fool me, etc, but at least I am not alone in being fooled and maybe more people will surface and force them to pay up.

I payed via paypal, so am I right in understanding that this is problematic with regards to my protection? Is anyone else considering attempting to return boots to this site?

What irks me is that while yes I was trying to get a bargain and yes I have read exhaustively about the value of UGGS being set in stone, there are discrepencies - why are they so much cheaper in America? And why does UGG's website only sell certain boots in Britain (the ones I wanted are only sold in the States, I checked all of the legit retailers here). I do want real UGGS, I bought cheap high street ones and they gave me really wrecked feet for weeks. I just don't like being forced to pay through the nose because I live in Britain (am from the U.S. originally). ok rant over sorry!

So are people chalking this as a loss? At least they didn't charge some who ordered, is that right?

So the credit card company will refund if we fib, basically? Proving they are fake sounds a nightmare. Well if this company has numerous complaints already maybe it will be the end of it. I think Paypal were on Watchdog a few weeks ago as well, maybe they will get their act together with the mass fraud they are essentially assisting without offering any protection (outside ebay).

Er, me again! I just realised I have sent an email to the company about not being happy with the boots, wanting to return, etc. Would this scupper me if I wanted to claim no delivery? Seeing as the company never answers their phone or email maybe not?

You could always say "I did not receive them" as you didn't, you received something else insted.

Although I did recieve my boots they were the wrong ones.......I ordered short and they sent long. They should surely owe me a refund based on that? so if i send them back with proof of postage and they don't refund me, would my credit card company still allow me to do this chargeback thing?

Look on the bright side...you will all be talking about some other footwear fad in 12 months time ;)

Shame these fads/ fashions bring so many fakes into the market, but it happened with Crocs, now UGGs and will happen with the next thing.

Hope all those of you that have genuinely been ripped off manage to get your money back and the next fad actually look good on people ;)

Well I could return my boots based on the fact they have some pretty obvious defects, I could even return them and just say they don't fit. It's not the right to return that's the problem, it's whether we are ever going to see any money from them regardless of the reason seeing as the company doesn't seem remotely professional towards its customers, not picking up the phone or answering emails at all. At this point it sounds like the safest bet would be to complain to the credit card company.

As for being a "fad", if I had been interested in them as a fad I would have bought them a very long time ago! I want them because they are warm and cosy, I don't do trendy which is why I resisted them for this long!

I was not having a go at you becasue they are a fad, I was just pointing out these problems happen with these type of fashion items as the market gets flooded with fakes. :) Smile and the world smiles with you :) Good luck in your efforts to get your money back.
