Look on the bright side...you will all be talking about some other footwear fad in 12 months time ;)

Shame these fads/ fashions bring so many fakes into the market, but it happened with Crocs, now UGGs and will happen with the next thing.

Hope all those of you that have genuinely been ripped off manage to get your money back and the next fad actually look good on people ;)

If its a fad, then why has it been going on for close to a decade now??#

And Crocs came in after Uggs- by about 7 years after.

But Thanks for the highinsite- your right, they are "just" boots and there will be discounts again next year.

Lots of things have been going for a long time before they become a fad. You cannot deny that they came very much into fashion some time ago and they were the must have for lots of people...hence a fad. No need to be defensive, just stating facts. :)

I know, just wanted to clarify though sorry, just used to guys giving stick about UGG boots! I investigated alot about these boots, by now it feels ridiculous to still not have them. I would just trudge around in the fakes quite happily as I don't care about labels, but the fakes gave me heel pain and I was really hoping the real ones wouldn't as I love the warmth of them in the freezing cold! :xmassmile

Really wanted some cardy uggs but they are out of stock everywhere it seems and been told in a couple of shops round my way that it will be March time before they have any in and I just can't wait that long lol. So been thinking that I might get some classic tall ones in black or grey. Was wondering whats the best price anyone has seen for these recently? And please reassure me they are worth the money lol.

I came across this site but dunno if its trustworthy or not , they seem to have high numbers of each boot !

I have been following this thread for a good few months now and I am not an expert on uggs (there are a fair few on here though) but there are 2 things that I have learnt are clear when looking for Uggs

1 - If it looks to good to be true then it more than likely is.

2 - Large quantity of boots in stock

Both of these things would make me steer clear of a site!

My mum received a fake game and when they tried to chargeback the credit card they were advised to contact the seller and get back to them in a few weeks if they get nowhere, the seller was via Amazon marketplace and Amazon have a very long winded process for disputes its now been 2 weeks and she is still no further with it. If you ever read the Ebay forums I have read several regulars advise to deny receipt if its possible in situations like this. Having fakes you will almost certainly have to provide proof to Paypal, I believe the information used in the claim is given to the credit card company before they decide on accepting the chargeback, if you have to return them then it costs you Tracked postage (which is expensive) If you stick with non receipt and they werent signed for then the company have nothing to defend their claim. It works like this, you claim non receipt, paypal ask the seller to provide proof of delivery, after x amount of days if they do not provide it you automatically win the claim, at this stage the card issuer accepts your chargeback. (I genuinely had an item that a seller tried to rip me off with and this is what happened) If Paypal recover no funds from the seller to cover the chargeback they then pursue the seller with debt collections agencies. So yes it might be a fib but it will go back to the seller and bite them on the bum eventually.

Does anyone know yet what is going on with Shudoo, if they have gone bust or not?

Their website is still down for the third day.
  • I have purchased 3 pairs from an Australian site, when they arrived the quality was poor and I could of purchased similar pairs without the UGG boot sign on the heel from High street shops here in the UK for approx £5.00 I am really unhappy with them, not only did I pay £87.88 for one pair of these boots, they have taken £101 off of my credit card for one pair!!! I have taken the boots into a reputable hight streeet seller of UGGS and they have given me written confirmation that the UGGS I showed them are not the same quality as the authentic UGGS that they sell, that the stitching, the sole and inner and outer material does not compare. Also, they come up smaller, so the boots don't even fit me!! I am now onto my credit card, firstly because the goods are rubbish and secondly because they have taken to much money from me!! Can the credit card help me in this situation in getting my money back.??
