Oh dear, Im worried again now lol. This thread makes me go up and down, one minute Im worried, the next I feel satisfied, now Im worried again!
Me too
Just looked at the Office site and they appear to be identical to the ones I've got here, so now I don't know again
I think they only way I can satisfy myself they are real is to go to a store that sells them over here and look at the quality of those and see how they compare. Also, the box and care booklet are exactly as described as being genuine. In fact the only thing that's in any doubt is the fact they are made in Australia and not China“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Im sure theyre real, I have a feeling they are. They wouldnt go to all that trouble on their site to emphasise the fakes against the real ones.. making sure you confirm you know the others are fakes (well, they arent the uGg brand) if you see what I mean.
I think maybe they have old stock? The fake guides do say that they used to be produced in Aus, but have recently moved to China. Stores like Selfridges would have new stock, because of fast turnover.. so they would be the China ones?
Another thing, the fakes ones usually smell synthetic, like paint (apparently)0 -
The thing is, I dont mind wearing the fakes, who's going to know?!?! The problem is, Ive paid a fair (ish) price under the illusion they were real. If I wanted fake ones, Id pay £6 in Primark!!
This is exactly how I feel too as to be honest anyone would be hard pushed to spot that they're fakes, if they indeed are, but it's the principal of it and no, I wouldn't have paid £80 for fakes either lol
It's a gut feeling I've had since I first opened mine as I expected better quality for the money, but just put it down to me impulsively buying the latest "must have" item before actually checking them out properly, so we shall see!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

That makes a lot of sense actually, about being old stock I mean, as I've noticed they don't sell this season's new styles either. I did email them to ask if they were going to get the new UGG Upsiders but not had a reply yet.
And no, they don't smell of paint or anything but I'm still not convinced the "wool" lining is real wool either lol
Anyway, I've decided to keep them no matter what and will continue to wear them as despite everything they are extremely comfortable and snuggly“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Thats good, as long as youre happy with them0 -
reply yo email from aussiedirectPlease be assured that they are both the real deal UGG Australia Boots. As we are down-under our Classic stock is made in Australia (aussies do not like made in China UGGs!). Deckers (who produce UGG boots) make them in Australia, China and New Zeland.
As Chocolate is a new season colour they made to import from China (as are the new Fashion boots Crochet, upside etc.). I am guessing your friend got Chocolates.
These boots are made by Dekcers to the exact same specifications- just in different factories. So there are very minor differences (also between aussie and nz made).
Hope that clears things up and please be assured that these are the real deal!! If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.

I've been in stitches reading all the chat from last night!! I ordered some for my daughter that are due today too. Don't think I'll look too close or I'll be gutted! I'm sure she won't be able to tell, especially if I don't point her in the direction of the 'how to tell a fake' guides so at the end of the day I'm not sure it matters. As someone commented it's the principal and not wishing to feel a 'mug'. She already has some cheapy fakes and if the quality isn't better than those, then they'll be going straight back anyway. Hope you're all pleased when you're boots arrive ... but I can't wait to read all your comments it's very entertaining!! I too am out today, so have been told by UPS they'll make a second delivery attempt the following day so I'm not actually expecting to receive them till Friday by which time someone will hopefully have posted a reply from Aussie Direct and they'll be a few more pages to keep me entertained!!! Sad really .......... good luck today everyone !!0

Thanks for posting the Aussie Direct reply Daisy. It's so many pages back I can't remember what you ordered so I'm still none the wiser ...... hahaha!! Are you satisfied that your boots are genuine now? Their reply does explain why there are slight differences in labels, length, etc. I'm more worried now as to whether I've ordered the right length cos though I emailed them they didn't reply because of their email problems, so I panic ordered to get in before the tax offer ended!! My daughter won't be happy if they're too long but I thought the short would be too short ... hey ho!!0

i ordered the short sand ones
having just read the other ebay guide to fakes - theres still some niggling doubt in my mind ( size inside label material font on outside label ) but i am eager to see what everyone else thinks when they recieve theres !!
im 95% sure they are real but theres a but for some reason .....:j MFi3 wannabee :j
