I got the chestnut tall ones and as I have a pair of genuine short ones I can compare them and thy do not seem right to me. The label inside is not the same, the label on the heel is smaller and lighter in colour and the bindings on the heel don't sit properly like they should.
I have emailed them with my concerns so I will let you all know what they say. Fortunately, I haven't worn mine yet.
The label is creamy white and not brown on the chocolate brown uggs.0 -
hmm just looking at the images on the aussiedirect site and onthe black ones the label is the wrong colour. It should be white and there's is black...gutted.I think I shall be sending mine back when they arrive!
*edit just looked at the images on office website and it is the right colour label
They should be black with white writing. Here's another fake spotting guide.

This will show you what the labels/heels look like on the various coloured boots.

You have to select the colour and then it will let you view all the way round the boot.0 -

yeah I had a look at the office images, for some reason I thought that the label was white on the black ones,as I thought that's what my friends were0 -
I'm starting to get confused. Mine are supposed to be arriving tomorrow!!!! But if the are fakes and we send them back how much will it cost to post back so we have still lost...0

Oh dear, Im worried again now lol. This thread makes me go up and down, one minute Im worried, the next I feel satisfied, now Im worried again!
A few of you have said the label looks/feels cheap which worries me. Then again, some others have said that reputable shops in NZ were selling Made in Aus onesI dont know what to think until I get them, I think once I have them I will know for sure if theyre the real deal or not. My mom bought a 'Louis Vuitton' travel bag a few years ago thinking it was real, but I inspected it and told her it wasnt. Its a good fake, but it is a fake. I think Ill be able to tell with the uggs too.
The thing is, I dont mind wearing the fakes, who's going to know?!?! The problem is, Ive paid a fair (ish) price under the illusion they were real. If I wanted fake ones, Id pay £6 in Primark!! They better be real! Otherwise I will get a refund, and wont stop pestering them until I do!
EDIT: Oh, and I'll threaten them with legal action too. I'll say Im reporting them for selling fakes under the impression they are uGg trademarks. That should get them worried.0 -
reading the ebay thread it seems they had the made in australia label 2 year ago so they may be just old stock...we can only hope0

Hmmmm, i'll be intrigued to know what they've got to say about it.0 -
Ive just been looking at their site, and they have some other ugg-type boots which are real sheepskin but loads cheaper. They clearly state that they are NOT uGg Australia, and even ask you to confirm that you know they aren't real.
Look at this page: http://aussiedirect.stores.yahoo.net/longzuuggez.html
At the bottom where you chose colour/size there is an option which says: I understand these are NOT UGG Australia Boots....Yes
Looks like they do things the legit way?0 -
Hi all just thought i'd join this debate- I too have a pair of chestnut tall classic ugg australia boots which i bought from Hartings in New Zealand this is a reputable company which sell all sorts of assie/nz goods my Uggs cost way more than the ones on Aussiedirect, however mine have the exact label the other posts have described and it clearly states "made in Australia". I have no doubt these are the real McCoys.
Can i just ask, what does the inside label look like in your Hartings ones?0
