  • Delivery times from NZ can be a bit hit and miss. Trust me, I used to live there and now have in-laws trying to send stuff over here. My mother-in-law posted a postcard in Nov and we received it about 2 weeks ago. Sometimes things end up going surface mail, ie by boat, even when it clearly says Air Mail on the item. We can have letters and parcels reach us in days, and others take months. You just have to be patient!

Also, there was a mention of the excellent customer service recieved from Hartings, a New Zealand company. Unfortunately for us Poms that's simply standard Kiwi service, the majority of British companies could with taking a leaf out of their book.

I'm starting to wonder exactly why I've come back to live in this country, especially as it's currently about 30 degrees in NZ!

After following this thread I bought a pair for my Wife in December from Kiwi Sheepskins delivered exactly 7 days after order hardly been off my wifes for the last six weeks. Cost £56 if I remember correctly
  • I got black classic short from australia direct. On the inside label, it states they are made in New Zealand.
They have been confirmed as genuine decker uggs but I read in a previous post that if they're not made in China, then they're fake.
They do still have a couple of working factories in Australia and NZ, but their main export is from China. This is official from Deckers Inc.
So if you have received your uGg boots from AD and are worried you have fakes because of the inside label, I would say keep an open mind as they could well be genuine like mine.
  • hi everyone, for the people asking about buying uggs in aus, my sister asked her brother-in-law to get her some while he was over there but hes finding it really difficult to find any, she wanted the cargo ll uggs but apparently ugg australia don't make them for the australian market, they only do selected styles to sell in Aus (mainly classics) so i suppose it would depend on which style you were after (my sister now wants upsides but no luck on them yet either).
Dosn't help as to where to buy or prices but it was just to say i don't think they're easy to get hold of over there:confused:

They do still make some boots in Australia and New Zealand, but the boots have variations to the boots sold in UK shops which are made in China.

Again I will say expect there to be some differences in quality to the China made ones. Also confirmed with the Hartings xmas delivery which they refused to sell.

FYI i was going to buy them from the official site, until i came across AD, not through MSE. but something threw me with how cheap they were for genuine even with the shipping. I then found this thread and read it through... which confirmed my initial reservations with AD.

and yes i have done my research actually which was confirmed more through this thread, so i dont get ur comments about my ignorance about UGG A boots...

so i confused the height boots u were on about when i commented on the cost.. how does that make it rude?!

I found the way you worded it rude and I think many others would take it the same way. There are other ways you could have put it if you thought I was advising the person wrong, e.g. 'Hi, Just to let you I have found some in x and y for this much!' Instead you just chose to say no not really ... blah blah blah before you knew the facts. I think thats rude.

My post which you commented on was my reply to another person who had also been scammed by the same website as I had and they were asking for some advice on trying to get there money back and where I had purchased my real Uggs. I was simply to trying to help them and letting them know that I had decided to just purchase from the official site to prevent risk of getting scammed again. However I discovered that if you purchase from the United States site you can save abit of money.

I think you should have thought before you made your comments. Why would I be advising them to pay £155 for some boots which you get in the UK shops for £140? And these places which you mentioned are the first obvious choices anyway if you wanted to pay full price. If you knew they were out of stock and only had one colour why bother to even mention them and make you comment cos thats not exactly going to help anyone is it! The benefits of ordering from United States Ugg is that you can also backorder them if they are not in stock so that is why I recommended it.

hi guys - i'm feeling the itch for some black cardies although am worried about sizing - my ugg classics are a 6 and fit me but the are snug - i'm assuming you wear the cardies with socks and that they dont have the same 'give' as the classics. should i order a bigger size???

I was just going to ask the same thing.. lol :D

I wear a US6 in the classics and they fit perfectly. I don't want to get the 7 and find they're too big, but my upsides in 6 are snug.

Hi, I've only got the classic UGG Boots but my hairdresser has the Cardie ones. She's coming round this afternoon to do mine and DS's hair so I'll check with her about the sizing and let you know.

We laughed as she was saying before Christmas when I got mine that she'd never pay for the UGG name. Then her lovely BF bought her the Cardie ones for Christmas and she loves them. She wants to get another pair now.

I'll post later and let you know. :rotfl:
