Go for it - the Aussie label was (and is) a big issue. What about the soles as well coz I think mine look like the ones listed on ebay as fakes?
I'm in the midst of writing to AD asking them to swap sizes for me and debating on whether to ask for Chocolates instead as well but like you said I don't want to have to pay 2 lots of shipping.
Wish I'd just brought them over here - don't think I'll go overseas again!!
What are the soles like on yours? If you are changing them then you should get the chocolate ones they assured me the chocolate ones are ok.
I will do a review on ebay as the current ones state Ugg Australia dont make any in Oz and they have said they do for supply in Oz.
There is no way of knowing 100% that the boots we have are not really good fakes as Ugg Australia are not willing to confirm this unless you buy from their registered stockists.0 -
Has anyone experienced a big delay on the delivery of the boots - over the last few weeks I mean? I ordered from Kiwi Sheepskins on the 7th and they've still not arrived!!! Realise this may be because of the current Royal Mail problems but we're getting mail deliveries and have been for the last week??!!! I'm getting desparate now!!0

I've looked back at your pictures and they look like yours (on the right). The more I look at them the more I'm convinced they are fake. The bit of fabric the label is stitched to at the back is lighter and different texture to the rest of the boot.
I'm starting to get stressed out coz these have probably cost close to £100 already (not checked my statement yet for exact amount) and because they are too big I can't keep them as I won't wear them so need to send back regardless.
Have AD agreed to replace yours with chocolate at no extra cost?0 -

That back bit is always a different texture that is not a problem, I had a sand pair about 3 years ago and it was a slightly different colour too.
AD havent got back to me probably because of the time difference. I have a strong feeling it will be at my expense though in which case I will keep the boots and either sell them or give them to somebody in my family for christmas as i still have my old ones for now.
I dont think we should lose out with shipping charges because the website doesnt advise before purchase that they are slightly different0 -
I have been looking at ebay pics today, and there are a lot of fakes on there, there are some things I have picked up from the reviews that make me really confused, the middle G on the fakes is not the same shape but the boots we have are
There is still the stuff about the circled R on the sole which our boots have. Also the fakes look suede and the inside is like toy fabric!
Then I came across these...well the picture speaks for itself
Maybe these boots are real but just not to my taste as I am used to the china made ones, I wish I'd known before ordering though then I wouldnt need to be finding all this info. If they are fakes they must be the most up to date best copy available.0 -

My Black Australia's look exactly like the one on the left. I compared them with my friends yesterday and the labels and quality are identical.
For some reason the Australian classic blacks seem to be taller than the china's, but Im in no doubt now they are genuine.
That aside, for how comfy they are they are well worth the money to me anyway.0 -
Found some other closeups on amazon as well, the quality appears to be exactly the same as mine, identical stitching, soles etc:
