Ugg Boots from £62 delivered

As I said if I were buying more I would buy from UGG US (they are cheaper than UGG UK, even with shipping). I remember that few days when all this started & we were all chewing our nails waiting for these boots to arrive.
Anyway, somehow I ended up on the UGG US site (the proper Deckers one) & was surprised at how little extra it would have been to use these.
Thanks for this. I had a looko and I work it out at approximately £60 for the boots + shipping £35 + custom duty and VAT £20 (guess) = £115. Is this correct?0 -
I ordered my choccy ones from dusiafootwear as I know they have the proper ones i used them as they take paypal. A bit more than i hoped to spend but its reassuring knowing I wont be annoyed when they arrive.
cozyboots came out quite reasonable have you looked there? they say they are an official Ugg Australia stockist.0 -

Aye, customs which you WILL get as I can't see Ugg Australia misdeclaring values (which is illegal) plus the fee from whatever robbing rip off merchant they use to deliver.
If it's DHL then you'll really get stuffed! Mind you I think even Royal Mail have bumped up their fee to £8(?) recently.
Soooo, £120+ cc transaction fee 2.75%+VAT+fee = aroundabout £153 - £160.
Still cheaper of course but thoroughly galling when they were £130 in the shops here just a short while ago!0 -

Surely the US would be the best place to get them from. As mentioned on here they cost a fraction of the price in their department stores compared to the UK. And Deckers is a US company with their headquarters in California. One of the points from an ebay review guide reads:
9. Finally the price is a huge clue. Genuine UK sourced Decker UGGS are at least £140 - anything substantially less and they are probably fakes. US sourced short UGGS are at least £70 and tall UGGS £85 - again anything less and they will probably be fakes.
With such a good exchange rate I think I will be looking for some from the US.0 -

Yes, its a shame about the shipping from Uggs US. Boots £75, shipping £45:mad:
I buy my contacts from the US, have done for years & only been stopped for customs once.0 -

The customs things isn't a forgone.

If anyone has a friend in the US they ship there for free, & P&P can be saved upon there.
Look its not perfect, but IF you get away with customs its a still a big saving. I would rather have spent £120 on real boots than £93 on what might be snides:mad:  :mad:0 -

Unfortunately most of the US sites won't let you pay with a non US credit card and won't deliver to the UK.0 -
Hi everyone on this forum, I'm new on here but have been following this thread for a while now as I wanted a pair of reasonably priced genuine UGG boots. I was going to order them from Aussiedirect but after reading some of the comments I didn't feel too confident, so decided to do more reearch and ended up ordering them from Hartings.
http://www.hartings.co.nz/
The price on the website was £109.95 with free shipping, so I ordered them with my husband's credit card as his does't charge for foreign transactions. The statement came with £106.95 so the exchange rate must have been good.:j
I emailed to ask when they would arrive and they answered straight away and sent me a tracking no. They actually a came a day earlier than it said and I was at work, so collected them from the post office this morning. They are absolutely gorgeous, they have the fabric "made in China" label and are perfect 100% genuine. I LOVE them and am giong to order more :j :j
Also I didn't have to pay any import taxes, so I don't think the price is much more than Aussiedirect and these are DEFINATELY GENUINE.
My only minor complaint, and it's a small one, is that they didn't come in the origonal UGG box, it was a Hartings one, but this really does't matter for the saving I have made. I guess it may help with import as it looks small and so customs wouldn't necessarily notice it and not charge import taxes.
I hope this helps.
I meant to say that my boots are the tall chestnut in US 8 as I am a UK 6 and they fit like a glove.0 -
you do not get customs on every item, but if you do it takes about 2 weeks to come after the item was delivered, the courier company pays it then bills you with the charge plus their admin fee! my hubby got a charge on something from DHL, he was silly as he had it delivered to his work address he got stung as they thought it was a business item. It cost him £17 knocking the item up to what the uk price would of been.0
