Sorry to keep going on, but has anyone actually had any TALL boots in either Chestnut or Chocolate that had the "Made in China" label in them rather than being made in Australia?

    Thanks.
  • Hi. I received my classic tall Uggs in Chestnut today from Aussie Direct and I am also disappointed with them, I don't think they are real. I have spent the last couple of hours reading threads on this subject and felt I needed to add my bit!

Mine are made in Australia although the label bit doesn't really bother me as I'd have just cut it out. I am a UK size 6 and ordered a US size 8 but they are too big at the back and slip up and down, even with socks, and will probably get bigger after wear, so I'm going to have to return them which I'm not impressed at as I'll have to pay return postage and if I order the next size down will they be too small. The colour is also a bit darker than I thought they would be. They also look like the back bit where the badge is stitched are a slightly lighter shade than the rest as well.

This is my first pair of Uggs and I had done my research into what originals and fakes looked like that when I got Martin's newsletter about them I thought they sounded and looked on the website like the "real deal" at a fabulous price! I'm now starting to wish I'd just gone to Schuh and paid the extra.

Has anybody returned their boots to Aussie Direct, if so, how much did it cost and did they reply favourably to your e'mails?

    Thanks. xxx

    Well I am not alone.

    The boots are fakes.

I emailed UGG australia and they confirmed this evening THEY DO NOT HAVE PRODUCTIONS IN AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND DUE TO THE DEMAND OF THE BOOTS!

As I thought, of course James is going to convince everyone here the boots are real but they are not, the boots are good quality australian boots with the Ugg logo on them to make them money. I have not had a reply and i have emailed 4 times.

Yes, as I said the chocolates are i.d.e.n.t.i.c.a.l.

The chestnuts, black and presumably sand aren't.

But that doesn't mean they're guaranteed snides.

    This is getting tiresome now.

Others have had emails from them that they do.

Others have had emails that they still make some styles there.

Others have had emails saying they don't.

The press office have said to Martin in no doubt his official capacity that they are genuine from AD.

I suspect we're getting different answers for PR reasons.

They dont make the classic styles in australia, this is information from today, i made no reference to any sellers just asked where they make the boots.

The boots they are currently sending are not genuine, not just because they have australia on the label but the boots are not of the standard they should be.

This James fella has really convinced you lot here that he is selling the real deal, hes probably sent a few real ones to bait other buyers!

    Here is my moneysaving tip!

Find somewhere else to buy them, an australian sheepskin boot without the fake bits is half the price!
  • Mookie. Did you return yours to Aussie Direct and did you replace them or get full refund (including return postage)??

    Lx
  • I keep telling you. I live in Perth, WA and you should check out http://www.eaglewools.com.au/
  • Mine cost just short of £10 to return without the box.
