    Hi there,

I am feeling cheated as I got the below message after inputting all the personal information which was asked for.

Unfortunately, there appears to be a technical error. Please try again later.
Please do not try to register for ClearScore more than twice in a day because for security reasons we do not allow multiple attempts in a short period.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for trying ClearScore.
If you need any further information then please get in touch with us via our as a question form.

    Is this a fraud?

    regards,
    Madhup

If they can't get that kind of basic info right then what hope have you got of getting reliable credit data from them.

They blame everything on Equifax who supply the credit file data.

Do yourself a favour and sign up for Noddle - it's also free for life and their data is reasonably accurate.

In my experience ClearScore is ok if you like pretty things and aren't bothered too much with accuracy of data.

    :) Hello

I have completed the Clear Score online.. Not sure how they check. was interesting but after answering the first two questions I realised the later seemed like phising for info, as there may have been names pop from me.( the wife) it seemed very clever at first knowing hubby had opened a bank account even though I didn't mention our main bank. I only mentioned our 2nd bank we hold... but it was fun but didn't give all info on later questions... His score was 523 out of 700...

So you have opened a Clearscore account and have found your husband's score ?

Just enrolled out of curiosity, knowing full well that my credit history is probably near perfect, and, yes,I suppose I am lucky but I have earned it all my life.!.Their web-site should be re-named"Hans Andersons Fairy Tales".They have dreamt up all of my results,at least half a dozen so-called non existence"reports" or should I call them Fairy Tales?. I am 73,own my own property outright, havent got ANY credit cards, dont buy anything on credit, dont owe a penny to anyone.I have a suspicion that this company operates exclusivly to con people into accepting one of their recommended credit cards whatever their circumstances. MSE asked me for my opinion, and I stand by it. I wouldnt even go to the trouble of contesting their so called "Personal Credit Report".

In other words, you don't have any credit history and therefore your "score" is low.

If you want a good credit score then you need to have a long and good credit history. Sad, I know, but that's just the way things are. For all of us!

1st time I have used this site to check my credit score; it seemed to be guessing qutie a bit as to what bank account etc... that I had, but it did eventually find me. I look forward 2 the fine tuning of the site & future imrpovements. Pete.

I signed up for this at the beginning of the week and have since been inundated with calls from various 'legal' companies claiming to have been given my information because I 'may' have debt against me that is affecting my credit score and can be written off. They're obviously selling info on which is why they can afford to be free.

If your telephone number is not registered with the Telephone Preference Service then I would suggest you register. Our number is registered and we rarely get cold calls these days. It really does seem to work.

I signed up to Clearscore back in September 2015 and posted on this thread about it. I haven't really looked at it since, but moved house in October 2015 and immediately registered on the electoral roll at the new address with a letter received from the council to confirm.

I logged into Clearscore this week to check whether the delightful Vodafone have registered any late payments due to failure of their DD system, and noticed I have a negative factor of not being on the electoral roll. All my addresses are showing as the old address. I therefore raised a dispute via Clearscore to Equifax, attached my letter and so on.

I've just had a response from Equifax saying that as far as they are concerned I am on the electoral roll at my new address since the council updated it in January 2016. However if I want to see this at Clearscore I will need to delete my account and make a new one.

Surely Clearscore is completely pointless if it can't pull through updated information held by Equifax? Especially since that's the only negative factor as far as they're concerned and it isn't even true! And if that's wrong, what else is wrong?

    Not impressed with this.
