  • Is it possible that they just used a old jar to put the supplement in? I hope not as its illegal to not label drugs properly but it's a possibility.
I really would ask the question about what the supplement was and what it's for before you go buying it on the internet.
Some bleeding after tooth extraction is normal. Just feed soft food for a couple of days.

The jar has Zara's and my detail and name of supplement and date of issue on it so no, that could not have been a mistake/old jar.

I have sent an email to FR asking what this was prescribed for and will follow up with a call on Monday.

Bleeding after tooth extraction seem to have settled now.

Zara (top left) with Cortez and Nora today

Supplementation with Carniking™ can positively influence the aging process for a number of different reasons including its ability to support the body’s antioxidant defense system and also support mitochondrial efficiency. In addition, Carniking™ supplementation may help support energy metabolism in the heart and skeletal muscles of older pets.

Thanks - can not see anything anywhere about horrible side effects to be honest and had no reply to my email so will call tomorrow.

Zara has been much better Saturday and Sunday so fingers crossed the injections are helping.

Next visit at FR on the 21st.

Gum looks much better after the tooth extraction now too and no more bleeding.

Hope my baby has a bit of time pain free and happy still.... xx

My baby had her second injection today so again fingers crossed it hells her more. One more to go in 3 weeks time.

She was a bit sore after the visit today poor girl and slept in the car.

I asked about the l-carnitine and this is for her spine to slow the degeneration. I was also told that the one we were given is a pure one and none of the online ones matches its quality so will stick with this - she will be on one teaspoon per day for life.

Her gabapentin and onsior - I get prescriptions and get those online as much cheaper that way.

Can not get Apoquel anywhere online, all out of stock and tis is very expensive as she is on 1.5 tablet (16mg tablets) per day so we need 45 per month and they come to between 120-150 depending which vets we get them from.

Waiting for the insurance renewal at the end of October and will see what it is going to be now after so many claims and decide if to keep it then or not. Right now the cost of her monthly medication, even if partially bought online in about 250-280 per month and there is always a risk of something else needing to be looked into so I guess insurance will stay no matter what but...

She seems happy, she enjoys her walks her food her ball her friends - as long as she does, anything I can do to help her will be done

Good to hear she is doing ok.I hope it doesn't get too expensive for you,in the last 2 years or so of my dog's life we spent a lot on medication and vets visits,as we had no insurance but I would do it all again, and more if it would bring her back for just one more day.

If only all owners were as dedicated and loving as you,Getting Ready, there would be less cruelty and sadness ,and homeless animals in this world.Zara is so lucky to have such a lovely owner.

Week after second injection (one more to go on the 12th Oct) and Zara seems much better. Nice on the walks and generally more lively :)

Here at Ewa's place with Ewa's 2 GS and 2 more GS boarders, what a sight 5 GS in one room :)
