Sorry haven't got time to read the whole thread after a few days absence, but did notice it's your birthday, so hope you are enjoying a slice of cake and a glass whatever your favourite poison is right now!

Too late now to do any FLYing, so will get down to it in the morning. Did manage to vacuum bedroom today & change sheets, so I'm ahead for tomorrow already.

    My book beckons!

    Nite all..

Just popping in, will catch up better tomorrow hopefully (well today as it's after midnight), been sorting club paperwork and learning how to use the race system, oh what fun :rotfl:

Well DS2 has been pretty quiet, I think the shock helped, aswell as the fact we were pretty frantic sorting it out scared the life out of him I think. The guy is coming out from the community team who deal with school visits etc so will be in a normal car, most are semi retired so no calendar boys I don't think. We knew we'd put it all out but all night all I could think of was 'what if I missed some and the house is now burning' felt sick as we came round the corner.

Hugs to all, see you in the morning :)
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Good morning everyone  Feel like I've been chasing my tail for the last couple of days. Kept on top of the house, but haven't done any *big* jobs that I was planning. This is what I've done:

    Handbag – boogied
    Dustbin – put out
Library – book collected and returned
Pancake batter – made – pancakes all eaten!!
    Online passport application – made
    Internet banking – done
Letter to DD’s dance school - written
    Pay papers - done
    Pay in cheque - done
    Travel insurance - booked
    Bolognaise - in SC o/n
    Bread - in BM o/n

I put a red rinse on my hair yesterday (it's called Chilli ;) ) and I love it :j DD did me a blow dry, too. We then had friends round in the afternoon, which was lovely. Made some raspberry and white choc muffins for them, then a summer vegetable puff and plum crumble for tea. Also made Shell's choc orange cake - will ice it later.

Have a great day, Penny. x

Meant to say earlier, my pans came up lovely after a long bath, might have to give them another go as the bottoms are still a little burned looking.

I need to do that with mine, as the bottoms are a little bit burnt looking.

    Morning all :hello:

Up bright and early today...well 7am :rotfl: One wash load is already in, and once thats finished another will be in straight away:D

I know today is the masterbedroom but I'll do that Friday along with DD's room as they don't really need much doing to them :D Tomorrow will be some shopping and I'm supposed to be going up to my mums today to help her out with a very messy job  So in a few minutes I'll be off to find my decorating clothes and old trainers ;) So although I'm not sticking strictly to the list, I am still flying :p

Batteries are on charge so that we can take more photos of trains and diggers tomorrow (not going today unless the trip to my mums is cancelled ;) ) and maybe some over the weekend

Right, I'm off to check my email etc

  • Morning all,

Belated happy birthday to Lil_me. I'm really sorry to hear about DS2's incident - I hope everything goes ok with the fireman. What a brilliant idea.

JillD I hope you managed to get some sleep and rest last night.

I had a meeting with new boss yesterday, and we've agreed that I will start properly (i.e. going into the department every day) as of 3rd September. I'm getting quite nervous - not least because I will probably be old enough to be all the other students' mother! I've got stuff to do on the computer in the mean time - so stand by for some chat from me today!

I'm coming to the conclusion that we may have to get rid of our oldest hen. She is just too noisey with all her crowing and squawking - especially as it started just after 8 this morning  and we live in the suburbs, not in the country. Fortunately we know some folk who live out in the middle of nowhere and they already have hens - so we might see if they will take her. I'll give her another week to get used to the younger hens laying - but if she doesn't clam down she'll have to go  .

    Have a good day all.

Because the list gets up-dated each evening (thanks Lil_me) with the next day's list. So if you look at some point this evening, Thursday will be added.

That way we don't get over-whelmed with everything (and the girly swots don't get too far ahead ;) )

If you look back on a previous week's thread you will see the sort of things that are on Thursday (bathroom and computer area) and Friday (children's and spare rooms)

    Hope that makes sense
