l think you are right about being human and lamenting the lost cashback! However in response to yorkshirepud l didn't display any audacity nor did l criticise the TSB staff, l politely asked if l was missing my cashback when asked "is there anything else l can help you with?" The answer should have been "no" you should receive it next week.l think it was a fair question even after reading the T&Cs,which l had done, given that interest for the previous month is paid on the first working day of the new month.Instead l was told l wasn't entitled to cashback as l hadn't spent over £100. As you would imagine l then felt l had been mislead as the wording implied otherwise to my mind, but they told me it was very clear you had to spend £100 and after escalting the matter the other teams agreed with the CS person and said l was mistaken. All the conversations were polite and l pursued the complaint believing that probably others were being misled too if what they said was indeed true - l didn't want to just take a little compensation for me!
No harm has been done and no doubt a number of their staff will come upto speed with their own products when they look into the matter and you never know they might give me a courtesy payment for misleading me with the totally wrong response!Halifax and Santander will give you £25 or so if they keep you waiting on the phone for ages and ages. (55 mins when l was given it)

You may have read the T&Cs, but it appears you didn't understand them.
I find it somewhat ironic that you still keep laying it in on the TSB staff for not understanding their (really simple) T&Cs, when at the same time you, with your two degrees in English, didn't understand them either.
How about just gracefully admitting that you made a mistake for which you don't want to be pulled up, and granting them the same privilege? After all, most of the TSB CS staff probably haven't had the opportunity to study for an English degree, let alone two.
I'd love to hear the recording of your conversations with them. May be there was another misunderstanding?0 -
l did understand the T&Cs but was told very clearly by TSB that l didn't. l've let the matter drop and l hope you can too.0

Closing comment from me: if you had understood, with the help of your two English degrees, the T&Cs in the first instance, you'd never had have to call TSB to ask where your cashback was, you wouldn't have got the alleged incorrect advice from the TSB staff, and you wouldn't have needed to post your complaint about TSB CS on here.0

Just a word on a side issue. l noticed that someone calling him/herself yorkshirepud posted some comments about my original post, comments intended as a wind up, and shortly after, damage done, removed them! l didn't realise there were agent provocateurs roaming these threads!

spot on including a straggler from the previous month.
September and October were spot on for me but not November. I made 4 contactless transactions, the cashback they have just credited is exactly 5% of one of the 4 transactions, and it's neither the first nor the last transaction of the 4. Odd.0 -
November was completely off for me I worked out I was due £4.78 in cashback but only recieved 87p. It seems such a small amount to call up about though, but does irrate me.0

For me, it was the full £5 paid as expected on 2 cards for the 3rd month running.0
