Good plan in theory but Touch ID does not work with severed fingers.

    http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/16/why-a-disembodied-finger-cant-be-used-to-unlock-the-touch-id-se/

So just cut of the finger, and attach it to a battery or maybe a potato :D

Although its a relief Apple did think of this scenario, even though its a bit of a icky concept really.

Very inventive. I'd imagine pulling out a severed finger attached to a potato at the checkout might, at the very least, raise a few eyebrows.

There are easier ways for a thief to empty someone's bank account than that - with less... severe :D consequences for the thief if they got caught.

Back to contactless (which most people will be using - Apple Pay has gone way over my head!): I topped up my phone in Waitrose today. I thought that might negate the contactless option, as with cashback, but fortunately it didn't and it worked fine.

BP for petrol worked for me today as well and I am nearly half way to my £100 this month already (but my wife is lagging behind with only £5 so far!).
'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).

    Sky? Believe in better.

Note: win, draw or lose (not 'loose' - opposite of tight!)
  • When do you receive your cashback? I've been used contactless since early October but still no sign of the money.

I came here to ask the same question! Nothing my end either..
  • I have a TSB account and get my 5% interest on the current account & regular saver.

I have always used my tesco credit card for points. I might start trying to use contactless where possible.

My question is does the cash back get added to my account at the end of the month?

If I register for Apple Pay and use this does it count towards cash back?

Is there a max I can use contactless for in one transaction?

    Thanks
