M&S have no limit on ApplePay
Nor do Waitrose apparently. Some places like Nando's are also reported as exempt from the standard £30 contactless limit (when using Apple Pay). It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

I have not yet come across a Waitrose with more than £30 on Apple Pay, and I have tried 4 on the south coast. Their Twitter CS said earlier this week that they have no date for lifting the limit. Whether they really know, I have no idea.
I don't usually spend more than £30 in Waitrose but always check whether "no cardholder verification" on the receipt has been updated. M&S, for example, say "cardholder device verified".0 -

I was going by what I'd seen on MacRumors and the forums there.
I don't spend enough in Waitrose to see if the limit has been lifted at their Ashbourne branch. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I switched to TSB a month ago. All my direct debits and standing orders were sorted out correctly, my overdraft was agreed, all points backed up in writing, I got £125 for switching. I now get interest on my account plus cashback on contactless, which is becoming more frequently available. I visited my local branch and the staff were friendly and helpful AND I was given a business card with the email of the branch manager and the branch phone number! I had to phone the main Customer Services to get a cheque book (option not available online), gave my bank numbers to the recording and got straight through to a human who not only arranged my cheque book but addressed me by formal name immediately. Very impressed. Used to work for a High Street bank so have seen the decline in customer service from both sides. TSB - confidence restored. Well done.0

Some guys made a youtube video about this and showed it was actually possible to take a silicone imprint that would actually unlock an iPhone.
The tricky bit would be taking a cast of someone's hand (and phone) without them noticing though!
Not tricky if the person(s) were a victim of crime. You can imagine the scene in a robbery at home or wherever. Person tied up or threatened with violence to themselves or their loved ones so that they give a imprint of their unlocking finger. Then they steal the phone and steal the money. Better to give an imprint than lose the finger!0
