Just had a combo discount which is rather good.
Waitrose has been sending out Spend £40, get £4 off vouchers, which is nothing in itself. A cashier mentioned that the £40 is Pre-discount, which perked my interest.
This is great to know for future spending.Spidernick wrote: »If that really works then all I can say is that Waitrose are extreme plonkers!
They only fixed multi buy discounts on reduced to clear items a few months ago!0 -
With my own use of TSB contactless I haven't been asked to chip and pin for weeks. Seems to me that you establish some kind of cred over time and the system accepts more contactless payments if there have been no red flags.
No doubt my next one will be rejected!0 -
I had telephoned to confirm that applying by the 30th Oct that I would still be able to get the £125 incentive and was advised yes as I could apply online and then had upto 23rd November to show all docs to active the account switch. Having telephoned today was told i no longer was eligible for the cash deal as I had to complete everything by 30th November. Staff obviously did not know all their own criteria. Trying to contact TSB is a joke telephone number adv is a recorded message asking for your bank or credit card numbers. If your a new customer no option!!!!
Really really disappointed and glad the account is not going through cant be trusted.0 -

Do you mean they told you had to have 'everything' completed by 30th of October? What is meant by 'everything'? It seems you used the MSE switch offer? The terms for that are here: http://www.tsb.co.uk/legal/special-offer-mse-msm-terms-and-conditions-october.pdf
If you have met all the terms, you are entitled to your bonus. But perhaps you misunderstood the terms as you didn't have until November 23 to "show all docs to active the account switch". One of the conditions says you must "switch to TSB using the Current Account Switch Service by 23 November 2015." This probably means your switch must have been completed by today if you want to see a switch bonus. A switch takes at least 7 working days, so the very latest you would have had to request your switch would have been Friday November 13.Trying to contact TSB is a joke telephone number adv is a recorded message asking for your bank or credit card numbers. Keep your eyes peeled for new offers, or offers from other banks. You just have to stick to the published T&Cs next time.0 -

Glad to say I no longer have this worry as my TSB cards will now remain firmly locked away in my safe, and I'll now be paying with Apple Pay. YAY!!!0 -
Got a whole £2.85 ! cashback today for October. I really struggled to spend anything as so few places have contactless...... but better than as slap in the face with a wet fish!
I think £50 is going to be the maximum I can reach per month. Only been asked for chip & pin once lately at the start it seemed to be every transaction, thankfully Co-op seem to have got their act together.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Well you did better than me at The Co-Op. Was in there yesterday, half way through scanning and the self service checkout crashed on me haha. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
M&S have lifted the £30 limit when you use Apple Pay. I made a £49.55 purchase today (using my Santander CC as my TSB cards are already maxed for the month). It went through at an incredible speed, and I couldn't tell whether there was any authorisation by the bank.
The cashier was a bit out of their depth as she had never seen anyone paying by phone, so she couldn't answer the question whether the limit is the card limit.
In any case, the lifting of the limit is incredibly handy, and I hope other shops will follow suit.0 -
Does anybody know if TSB update their transactions during the weekend or if it will be dated on Monday? (If that makes any sense...)0

Looking at a contactless transaction I made the other day it was dated the next working day i.e. the 24th when I completed the transaction on the 23rd.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
